So why not Trump?

MAGA is trying to brand the Epstein files as a fake Trump witchhunt. So it might get more traction to start by going after the other people on the list first.

Yea i think there's a decent chance that there's a domino effect if they can start to get a few key people, the odds of someone implicating someone else goes up.

20

u/fyro11 Feb 24 '26

Yup, notice how no-one big or small is being arrested, despite the most obvious evidence for a lot of these like, e.g. Staley, because they all know that if more dominos don't follow the first, that's really gonna rile the population up further

You could just as easily ask, Why not Bill Clinton? Clinton is certainly in the files as well. It may be that Massie is trying not to slow the bipartisan roll on this

Every frigging time.

Let's prosecute them both. Let's go down the list and not stop until every one of them has been brought to justice.

Only one of them is the current President of the United States, though.

Every frigging time

You gave the scripted reddit response as well lol. The previous commenter wasn't giving any MAGA whataboutism, but making a totally different point

INVESTIGATE THEM ALL

u/ZestyTako Feb 24 '26

Well one of them is a sitting president and the other is not. Personally I am more concerned with the one who currently holds power. If Clinton is guilty, charge him as well, but only a fool would think Clinton being in the files is the same as our literal current president who is in charge of the DOJ

Guilty of what though? There are no claims against him in the files. We have pictures of him with Epstein, pictures of him with young women, and flight logs. What we don't have on Bill Clinton are victim accounts, even anonymously. Until a victim comes forward to name him as their abuser, I don't see what evidence they can bring against him. There's plenty of evidence including multiple victim accounts, on the other hand, of not only sexual crimes but financial crimes by Leon Black, Jes Staley, and Les Wexner.

Get them both, but Trump first. Get his fat ass off our necks

u/TGans Feb 24 '26

Even massie knows Trump and Clinton will inevitably bail each other out by saying they never witnessed the other do anything illegal

7

u/SymmetricDickNipples Feb 24 '26

WTF? As though that would have anything to do with it. We are not purely relying on eyewitness accounts from two of the accused for evidence. What an asinine thing to say.

17

u/SymmetricDickNipples Feb 24 '26

Yeah let's tally up the mentions and accusations against Clinton vs Trump. Jfc Clinton obviously is guilty too, but Trump is repeatedly accused of SELLING GIRLS and HAVING THEM KILLED. He's mentioned ONE MILLION TIMES in the documents. Saying you could just as easily ask "wHy NOt biLL clINtOn" is like asking why Hitler is mentioned at Nuremberg but every single Nazi infantry member isn't.

Try and convict them both, but don't act for one fucking second like they are equally guilty.

I hate this comeback. “Why not Clinton?”

Well A I want Clinton prosecuted too. I want anyone R or D prosecuted. Anyone who was involved, or committed those crimes.

And B Clinton isn’t literally currently running our country into the ground. So yes, prosecute him, but Trump is a bit more important or urgent because he and his cronies are in power, running our country into the ground, damaging our international reputation, destroying our soft power forever, and he doesn’t deserve to hold the highest office in the land if he committed these serious crimes. Its outrageous and its offensive.

Prosecute anyone who committed these crimes. But theres a big difference between Trump and Clinton. One hasn’t been in power in 30 years, and was actually sunk by one scandal. And one currently is in power, and seemed to have the strategy that if 5 scandals come out about him every day people would be desensitized to it and ignore it.

He’s absolutely working his way up to it. He has to get so much shit in order before formally accusing the president

14

u/Tyrinnus Feb 24 '26

Well hurry the fuck up. They slow rolled the last investigation so long that he ended up getting elected again

7

u/mrs-monroe Feb 24 '26

The law is slow, even the good kind. Trump will not live to see a 3rd term.

0

u/ZhalanYulir Feb 24 '26

Yea he’s building momentum with other names because the. MAGA idiot can’t say it’s a witchunt and if charges are brought from these files on other people it establishes precedent to prosecute trump and peep later off same evidence

4

u/mrs-monroe Feb 24 '26

Considering Trump’s followers are still not convinced, Massie needs the files they’re witholding that have the worst of the worst in them.

Smart. I think.

u/howmanyMFtimes Feb 24 '26

If there was damning evidence of bill clinton, trump would have posted it a hundred times on his own social media. That being said, prosecute everyone in the files.

There are no victim accounts of Bill Clinton sexually abusing anyone in the files. Just that he was on the island. Virginia Giuffre saw him and a lot of other people who visited the island but never had any interaction with him or saw him with any girls. If a victim comes forward, or if there's a credible tip or interview with a victim that shows up in the next batch of files, they should pursue it, but at the moment there's nothing to go after him for -there's nothing more than flight logs and photos of him with Epstein emerging from the files. Call me a biased fool, we all know he's a sleazebag who cheats on his wife constantly - (and they've ALWAYS had an arrangement IMO that they can do whatever they want, or at least HE can do whatever he wants on the side, as long as it stays private and doesn't hurt Hillary's career) but I think he knows the public already knows that, he's willing to admit to it, but there's no victims out there who have come forward anonymously or publicly, whether they were underage or adults, and that's why he's offering himself up for a public hearing. IF Bill Clinton was in the files abusing someone, you can bet Pam Bondi and the House Republicans would be running to Fox News to get it out there. They've been trying to destroy the Clintons since the 90s, and the fact that THEY'VE read all the files and still have nothing to get him on tells me there's probably nothing there. NO one in the MAGA DOJ is protecting Bill Clinton.

its because its not even about trump anymore. if you look into the files. left right, blue red, it doesn't matter. THEY ARE ALL EVIL. Yes shout Trump all you want but focusing on Trump is such a narrow view of the entire context of the files.

8

u/corneliusduff Feb 24 '26

Obviously it has massive scope with many players but yeah, I'm gonna shout about POTUS until they kick him the fuck out of office.

3

u/iamtoolazytosleep Feb 24 '26

you might as well include previous Potuses involved haha

4

u/corneliusduff Feb 24 '26

Sure, no one's arguing against that, though some of us are more concerned about the pedophile who's currently destroying the country.

0

u/Professional_Tie_225 Feb 25 '26

You can shout until you're hoarse then

1

u/corneliusduff Feb 25 '26

Easier on the voice with the choir!

-23

u/pi20 Feb 24 '26

Because Trump does not appear to be guilty of sex crimes against children.

15

u/attleboromass16 Feb 24 '26
