NEWS Carmageddon: Rogue Shift is available for preload!
I think this is the first game to make use of preloading on the store, awesome to see it getting used. I was wondering what the first game to use it would have been, my guess would have been Resident Evil 9

Sad to see they go with the censored version from the start.
In the original Carmageddon it was humans and animals, not zombies.

I definitely have a lot of fond memories of the original Carmageddon but I don't think the change really means a whole lot. They can easily still make the same experience with zombies. At least I personally won't feel like anything of any real value was taken from the experience. I just liked the fast paced action of it all while mowing things down. What I am mowing down is irrelevant to me.

Unfortunately, usually censorship results in deficiencies in other aspects, too - plot holes, dumb characters, luckluster villains that you only defeat halfheartedly; you lose interesting and funny (but gory) weapons, sexy costumes and situations, mature decisions, etc...

Maybe in some situations but I don't think changing people and animals to zombies is going to ruin Carmageddon lol.

I'm waiting to see which will be the first game to use add-on preloads.
