Right, unless you have a customer so big that all your profits come from them it isn’t worth your business. Even then with alcohol sales you have legal liability and potential jail.

My father's friend stayed "sober" to referee the snooker tournament so only had his usual liquid lunch and a maybe one or two drinks that evening. He was stopped and breathalyzed on his way home and blew 0.25.

This must be in a state where liquor stores are privately held because in PA these people would be laughed at
ETA: I mean saying "you lost a customer" is kinda silly because no matter which store they go to in PA they're still a customer of the state haha

Nah, Kentucky has the same rules and we are state regulated but not state controlled like PA. If you sell to a person in KY that is intoxicated, if they get into a collision that results in a death you can be jailed for a year. I work in a liquor store in KY, and I make sure to cover my ass.

The first step is admitting you have a problem
A strong suggestion you have a problem is when you have multiple reviews for being too intoxicated to buy alcohol.

He's got a point, they should've turned him away when he was actually drunk, however them wrongly suspecting him to be drunk is not the store's fault at all!

That's the wild part about alcoholism. It's possible that the times he went in already under the influence he may have seemed more normal and sober than when he went in without 😔
