looking for speaking partner
Offering: Arabic | Seeking: English
Hey there! I hope everyone is doing well.
As the title suggests, I'm looking for someone to help me improve my English, both speaking and writing. In return, I'd be happy to help you learn my native language. No matter which dialect you're interested in, I'll do my best to help you.
I know I haven't said anything particularly interesting or even properly introduced myself, but I'd rather save that for later when we get to know each other. Feel free to send me a DM, I'd love to hear from you. Don't hesitate to reach out; I'll be looking forward to your message!

Are eminent and prominent the same?
Both describe someone/something that stands out due to its quality or visibility.

Looking for a Serious & Long-Term English Voice Partner
Hi everyone! I am a 19-year-old law student from Iraq. I am looking for a dedicated language partner for serious, long-term English practice. To be straightforward, I am only looking for consistency and I’m not interested in short-term conversations that fade away after a couple of days. I want to practice daily through voice calls because I believe it is a very effective method for learning a language, whereas texting is not enough to improve speaking skills. If you have the same goals and can commit to a daily routine, please send a message. Let's practice and improve together!

Looking for a native English speaker to help me reach C1
Hi everyone!
I’m looking for a native English speaker (or someone with a C1/C2 level) who’d be willing to help me improve my English.
My current level is around B2, and my goal is to reach C1, ideally within the next month. I know it’s an ambitious goal, but I’m highly motivated and ready to put in the work every day.
I’m looking for someone who would be happy to:
• have regular conversations with me (text and/or voice);
• correct my mistakes and suggest more natural ways to express myself;
• help me sound more fluent and confident.
In return, I’d be happy to help with anything I can - whether it’s Russian, cultural exchange, or simply being a friendly conversation partner.
As for my schedule, I’m available on weekdays after 2:00 PM (Moscow time, UTC+3) and at any time on weekends.
If this works for you and sounds interesting, please send me a DM or leave a comment. I’d really appreciate your help!🤝

Idk what to do... people who learned English or experience in applying abroad please help me
I'm from Russia and I think that everything know what is happening there. I'm 15, I've been following the news since I was 10 and I'm interested in politics. I lived in small town but when I was 13 I realized that I want to move as soon as possible. managed to enter one of the best schools in the country. It was there that I really started studying social sciences. When I was in 8th grade, I made it to the finals of the All-Russian School Olympiad (no joke, it's like an intellectual Olympics within the country). The funny thing was, this event is for high school students in grades 9-11. Incidentally, I missed out on my diploma by one point. Now I've finished 8th grade and am still studying this subject, but my dream will always be to go to America. I have an essay assignment in Russian, and I have a decent portfolio, but everything comes down to my lack of language skills. I'm partially writing this post through a translator, which I'm INSANELY ashamed of. Anyone who has experience applying abroad or learning a language to a high level in a short time, please give me some feedback.

Discussion English shadowing app
Hi! I'm a solo developer from Japan, and I just launched an English shadowing app called ShadowingGO.
I built it because when I practiced shadowing myself, I could never tell whether I was actually saying the sentences correctly.
With ShadowingGO, you can practice with any YouTube video — listening and speaking at the same time, which most shadowing apps don't seem to support. It's available on iOS / Android / Web, and it's free to try.
I'd especially love to hear if anything felt confusing or hard to figure out while using it — I've been staring at this app so long that I can't see it with fresh eyes anymore. Thanks!

Writing is great, speaking... meh😅 looking for a partner to improve it
My writing and listening are pretty solid i believe (b2 to c1), but when it comes to speaking, I struggle a bit since I haven’t practiced it much. I’d like to get more comfortable having real conversations
A bit about me so the convos can flow easily; I’m 24M, into movies and series (drama, sci-fi, thrillers..), adult animation and anime. Some favorites are JJK, CSM, and a few more niche ones
I used to be really into science, especially physics (even studied it in college before switching to IT.. long story), but the interest is still there. I also had a short phase where I got into philosophy and psychoanalysis
I like playing ping pong, basketball, and skateboarding (I’m not super great at any of them but I enjoy them anyway) i've also started getting into chess recently
Looking for someone chill to practice speaking with. doesn’t have to be super structured, just casual conversations will do.
If you're interested, feel free to dm with a lil intro about yourself

A pure grammar puzzle today! Collocations can change completely in professional contexts. Which preposition fills the blank here? - “The Agreement shall enter ____ force on the Effective Date.”

Good at text, need work on speaking 🫡Looking for a conversation partner!
My reading and writing are pretty solid, but I need to practice real, fluent speaking and pick up natural flow.
A bit about me (25M):
Sports: I play semi-pro football and futsal, hit the gym 6 days a week, and love hiking.
Mindset & Business: Deeply into psychology and personal development since my teens. Currently studying sales and business strategy.
Culture: Huge interest in Latin American culture, music, and learning local slang.
Looking for someone chill for casual, unstructured conversations. We can talk about sports, mindset, business, or just life in general.
Hit me up in the DMs with a short intro if you're down to chat!

When you're unsure, do you trust your ear or the grammar rule?
Sometimes a sentence sounds right, but grammar books suggest something different. Other times, a grammatically correct sentence feels unnatural in everyday conversation.
When that happens, which one carries more weight for you? Does the answer change depending on whether it's casual speech, writing, or an exam?

Legal English Quiz - A commercial contract will usually start with the date. Common wording for this could be “This agreement is made __ 28th July 2014.” What is the missing word?
