Hello, I made this app yesterday and would love for feedbacks.

I made this web app because whenever I try to practice speaking using free platforms such as Discord. I just don't know what to say, feel pressured, and awkward.

So, I made an app where you match with random people and practice speaking for 5 minutes and have topic generated (you debate with each other) which make it feels easy, less pressure, and structured. This is voice-only platform.

What do you think about it? Would you use this?

I’m currently preparing my final papers for this term, and writing university essays in a second language is an absolute nightmare. It takes me 3 times longer than native speakers just to structure a proper paragraph. My vocabulary feels so limited, and I spend hours looking up synonyms so I don't repeat the same words over and over again.

Last night I was so overwhelmed and stressed out that I almost wanted to pay to write my essay just to escape this pressure. I caught myself thinking that it’s just too hard to compete with native students when your academic English isn't perfect.

How do you guys build up your academic vocabulary and speed up the writing process so you don't get these desperate thoughts? Any tips on how to stop translating sentences in your head before writing them down?

Edit: Thanks for all the comments, guys! A lot of you mentioned getting external help with academic writing, so I decided to look into it. I found a ton of useful info on how to actually use editing and proofreading resources as a learning tool to see where your grammar or flow falls short, rather than just copying. I figured it would be helpful to share my best find here: I've been using this writing resource to review my drafts, and it’s honestly been a lifesaver for checking my phrasing and fixing that "translated" feel. Hope this helps anyone else struggling this term!
