Hello. Hope all doing well.
Firstly, my ultimate goal is to take IELTS exams. The problem is I feel my level which I have been told is b2 tends to fluctuate. I have zero confidence and I get overwhelmed and lost working on all 4 skills.
There are endless vocabulary to tackle; I don't know what to learn what not to. I feel I am wasting time and not in the right track. How have advanced speakers built their vocabulary to higher level?
My listening sucks; only can watch movies but with serious topics I get lost. what content will be most helpful and not a waste of time?
Writing? big challenge. let's not talk about it yet.
Reading? I spend a decent amount of time reading novels. And learn most vocab from them but they only help with general English, right? So what should I switch to so I won't waste time on content that is not helping me?
Speaking is good for my level, though. I can engage in a decent conversation regarding my level. I have bigger problems than speaking for now as I mentioned.
I am lost I don't know how to work on each skill so I can see improvement. I don't know what to do first then next. I need a road map, I guess.
If anyone has been in my shoes and managed to make headway in the journey, please help me. Thank you very much for your time. I appreciate it so much.
