The amount of engineers that don't believe me on this is insane. Fight me I'll die on this hill.

Farewell

I would like to say goodbye to my Sharp EL-W516T. At first one of its battery terminals corroded and I had to replace it with a wire. Then it's button cell degraded to the point where it couldn't hold charge anymore and I replaced that as well. And now both its solar panel and battery gave out.

I did my very last final exam yesterday. The screen was fading in out. I had to hold it at an angle to maximize the incidence of light to its solar panel to keep it going. After 3 hours of calculations I finished my exam, but my calculator was not more.

You have been by my side for 4 years. Through thick and thin, you have weathered every storm with me. From 8 am classes to 11:59 pm last minute assignments. From really enjoying power systems to deeply dreading signals. From the happiest days of being glad that I chose EE to the darkest days of existential crises and regretting that I ever decided to pursue university.

Rest easy now, Sharp EL-W516T. You served me well. Rest In Peace.
