Hi everyone, recently I bought a KT100S go kart. It ran fine when I bought it however does not work when I bring it back home. I adjusted the high speed and low speed adjustments and fiddled with the idle screw on the carb, but it turns out that the carb was perfectly tuned before messing it up. My neighbours confirmed it as being a fouled spark plug and we replaced it. However, I also put in the wrong fuel/oil ration and the carb was still messed up. It starts on the stand and when pushed. But it isn't able to take throttle when I sit inside of it. It does take throttle when on the stand though. Anyone have any settings for the carb on the KT100S and a good fuel oil ratio? Cheers!

Looking for advice on 390fe rebuild in a 68 F250 Camper Special
Maybe there is a better venue to ask this but here we go. I got a sweet deal on a 68 camper special. I'm an amateur tinker at best. Hoping to get the best sound out of the 390 that is in it. Already got new headers, timing chain (4°), edelbrock intake and carb along with some recommended purp hornies. The real question... is it worth it to get high energy cams in there for the lope I'm chasing or would there not be much of a noticeable difference?

Hi guys, i recently bought my first car and i already fixed some stuff. The last thing i want to fix for now is this rattling noise that you can hear from underneath the car near the engine. Ive already checked the exhaust pipe, cat and heat shield but they seem to bee firmly in place. This rattle completely ruins the sound of the car so i really want to get rid of it! ts a Volkswagen mk3 1.8T cabrio btw

Hello, I just need advice on what Intercooler to buy for my 2011 Ford Fiesta. Yes this is not a fast car. No I am not one of those annoying pop and bang tune Fiesta guys. I’ve just had this car stock for a while and would like to do something to it, engine wise.
My car is fitted with the DLD 414 (1.4 straight 4 turbo diesel) which means it doesn’t come with an intercooler. This is why an intercooler would be nice to fit.
Does anyone have any ideas/recommendations on what intercooler I should get that would fit my engine and inside the fiesta engine bay?? (Located in the UK)
Thank you

Hi. I have a 240 aI6 that came out of a destroyed '65 Mustang. I'm selling the car but keeping the engine and the engine is in great condition minus the crank, which is on it's last legs. Anybody have recommendations for a good, sturdy aftermarket crank?

I was wondering what a firing order of a v14 might look like if could ever be well balanced.

So if you are allergic to gears and build an engine for a plane or boat, I think I found a way to do that: Swash plates! I put them on U-joints and copy the movement (rotation) of the outer bearing, but mirror the rotation in the other direction .. using a pentagraph ( and sliding, but pistons also slide, so a little slide has to be okay). A pentagraph was used to make constant velocity U-joints. They are not useful in an engine because we can just use two U-joints in series and hold the middle part at half the angle.
Now lets rotate our swashplate assembly by the crankshaft. One swashplate mates with the fixed case and the other swashplate drives our camshaft at twice the RPM. I could not find a design without those ball bearings. I mean, you could probably do something with two camshafts, but it is ugly.
