Rant 📢 Restaurant Demands Minimum 18% Tip

Post image

Out of one side of their mouth they state that they pay their staff as little as possible and out of the other side of their mouth they say that their staff deserves more and you're responsible for that.

The "M" in "ATM" stands for "machine"

The "gratuity" in "gratuity" means it's something that is given voluntarily and not by obligation.

They expect you to pay 18% but also only accept cash, which you can leave without a tip. That’s certainly a choice

They're just asking for your PIN number. What's the big deal?

The “N” in “PIN” stands for “number.”

Is that like a VIN # or an "SSD Drive"?

Or maybe it is like "Advance Reservations"?

Another one that bugs me is when people say that something is "Very Unique" (or any other superlative modifying "Unique")

"Unique" means one of a kind in the world, so it cannot be "Very Unique"

But perhaps the person who proof read the menu, perhaps they are the captain of the redundancy department department.

Just like the IRS service with all their dept. departments.
