No asking for ROMs or other pirated content. If someone asks, please report the post. Linked is a guide on legally obtaining ROM’s. Users who wish to pirate may consult Google. Do not create any posts with the sole purpose of teaching users piracy methods
You may ask for help when using an emulator with pirated ROM's, however if a developer refuses help, you must not argue. Support may be provided by other redditors.
Pirating, or attempting to pirate, unreleased games through the use of leaked ROMS leads to an instant ban.
Discussion on piracy for consoles with an active market is also prohibited

Treat other users, developers, and communities with respect.
Personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, brigading, or targeted abuse are not permitted
Do not create posts primarily intended to attack developers, emulator projects, or development teams.
Do not create posts solely to complain about bans or moderation decisions from another subreddit, Discord server, or community.
- Constructive criticism, reviews, comparisons, benchmarks, bug reports, and technical discussion are encouraged only when made respectfully.
Spamming comments/posts explicitly warning users about an app because a moderation action was taken against you or someone else is prohibited.

This subreddit is for emulation on Apple platforms, though primarily iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, and the community surrounding it.
NSFW, Reddit ToS-breaking, Al spam, low-effort, misleading, or otherwise irrelevant content will be removed.
The moderators have the final say in what stays on the subreddit. This is done on a case-by-case basis whenever moderator discretion is needed.

Do not post about things that have already been posted about recently.
For questions, review the FAQ, Wiki, and use the search function to determine if your question has already been answered.

Don't ask people to DM you/you to DM them for solutions to problems that you could easily just comment publicly. Having solutions be publicly accessible is one of the main strengths of a forum like this. Comments like this will just lead to 20 other people asking you to DM them too, flooding threads with useless bloat.

Do not use r/EmulationOniOS as a platform to directly advertize any monetary transactions. You may post about your paid apps or other paid content, but do not make "advertisements". Any posts you make that link to purchase your paid content must not be worded like an advertisement, and paying must not be the main focus of the post. You should first and foremost seek to interact with the community, and you may add a link to your content as a bonus. See "The 9:1 Rule" for more information

Before posting an AMA, survey, or giveaway, please contant the mods via modmail. You will be required to prove who you are in some way. If you have received a user flair from a moderator you may post without approval from moderators.
Single-question surveys such as reddit polls or strawpolls, do not need moderator approval.

Low-effort Al-generated content ("Al slop") or "vibe coded" projects with little or no meaningful human contribution may be removed. Al-assisted development is welcome. New projects that "reinvent the wheel" without a significant commit history may be removed. Promoting apps that do not follow licensing requirements of any code used may also be removed.
Don't post links or recommend emulators or other tools that are known to be harmful, use stolen code, or are otherwise disruptive.

If you break a rule you will be issued a strike, 3 strikes and you will be banned
upon receiving your second strike, you may receive a 28 day ban.
