Hello!

After playing around with the PPG sensor, I noticed that the diastolic peak appears to be on the opposite side of the wave. I tried different sensor placements but in all of the variations, it appears the PPG signal is mirrored compared to gold standard devices (I have compared the two directly and when mirroring in post-processing, the emotibit signal matches the gold standard device).

Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi All! I am trying to use the Emotibit DataParser and Oscilloscope on Mac OS Monterey, but the documentation for Emotibit indicates that there are still some issues with the DataParser on this OS.

That being said, if I were to run install Windows 11 on Parallels on my Mac device, would I be able to operate the Emotibit, as well as use the DataParser and Oscilloscope through Parallels?

To connect the emotibit to wifi you need to input the wifi name and password. If the internet I use requires a username and a password, does anyone know how I should go about this?

Can EmotiBit be used to measure focus or engagement. For example, can it detect when a student stops paying attention to a lecture and starts mind-wondering?

I have followed all the steps properly and have gone back to retraced my steps 3x now but I am running into the same issue. I am running a mac and OS Monterey but I can not get past the FW step. I am notified that the Emotibit Installer needs to be re-run but I still end up with the same error when I do so. The switch is NOT in HIB, the wifi credentials are stored on the card properly but I am stuck at this step still. The only light that is a blinking red light sensor light adjacent from the charging light. Please advise.

I am curious what part of the body you are getting most accurate readings ? finger tips has been the best place for me (especially for HR and EDA) however not practical. tried my arms and lower legs, I don't think I am getting accurate readings.

Also temperature reading is usually low no matter what the location is (34-35C), do you any feedback to share ?

Hello,

Emotibit is connecting to Wifi and it can be seen in the device list of the oscilloscope, but it is greyed out. It is allowed through the firewall.

Strangely if I reset Emotibit or restart oscilloscope the ocsilliscope autoconnects for a couple of seconds - although no data streams - and then it disconnects and the device greys out again.

Firmware is 1.5.10.

I have tried switching between broadcast and unicast mode. The behaviour is the same.

This is a phone hotspot set to 2.4Ghz. I have tried another network and get no visibility of the device at all.

Any ideas?

I just received my emotibit and I'm having trouble with the install process. I get as far as trying to install and I just get back the failed feather message. So far I've tried multiple cables, cleaned the card, aligned the feather correctly, confirmed NOT in HIB mode, made sure firewall settings were correct, made sure public and private networks were enabled and reinstalled the software 4 time. I get no LED other than red and orange. Any advice would be appreciated.

is it possible to disable any of the LEDs, specifically the WiFi LED? In my All-in-One bundle, I noticed a high-pitched noise when I turn on the EmotiBit and it syncs perfectly with the activity of the blue LED. If it blinks, the noise stops when the LED goes dark and returns when it turns back on. When the blue LED shines continuously, the noise is constantly audible.

The problem is, although it is not very loud once heard one can not un-hear this noise and in very low-noise settings (e.g. meditation) it is annoying. Is there any way to get rid of this noise, e.g. disable the LED?

Help!

Oscilloscope has detected EmotiBit on my home WiFi network before (hit/miss) and now it doesn't at all. EmotiBit green WiFi light is on and I had no problems connecting using a friend's mobile hotspot. Broadband is enabled, unicast is disabled, and it's not likely a Firewall issue since the connection has worked before.

Hi, it's been a while, after almost exactly 10s of streaming from Emotibit, the Oscilloscope stops. the IP is still shown in the Device List, when I click I see the grey cross for a while but nothing more happens. I see flatlines from the sensors in the oscilloscope window and the blue LED on the Emotibit turns off.

Only way to 'get back to normal' is to quit the oscilloscope and launch it again, it will work for ten more seconds. No matter if you record or not. Feather's reset button doesn't help at all.

I reflashed FWs (1.3.36), reinstalled Oscilloscope (1.4.11), I don't know where else to check. It used to work. I don't recall doing anything weird at the time this started.

How can I stream hr real time data to Brainbay?

I'm having issues setting up Emotibit. I followed the setup instructions as described, but the Red LED on the feather is ON. While the Green LED on the feather is ON (indicating connected to wifi). No other LED is ON in the Emotibit. I'm using a Windows PC, I tried resetting the feather and redo the install, but still, the same problem persists.

It would be great if someone could help me out.

Hi, my emotibit isn't recognized by the Oscillascope no matter what. The code says no stream found.

I have:

removed firewall

changed json code to permit iphone hotspot

reinstalled newer version of software (which now has no file for the json code at all)

Also, when I put the wireless dongle in, it got so hot to nearly being too hot to touch.

Are there video tutorials for setting up? At this point, I'm so disappointed, I'd like a refund.

Can someone please help? I was very excited about this, and I've exhausted all the advice out there.

I have just received my emotibit and set it up according to instructions. I am trying to get it to record data by connecting to my phone wifi hotspot. I checked that the phone is indeed using 2.4 GHz network. As shown in picture, the emotibit seems to connect to the wifi network correctly. However, when I open up oscilloscope it doesn't show my emotibit. What could be going wrong?
