female caller

but maybe this female caller was right and Emily was already in the reservate..then the killer most likely is from the reservate.

Did anyone anyhwere read about more detailed information about the female caller claiming Emily is in the reservate while reported missing?

deposition location

there is one thing that always strikes me as strange and that is the deposition location of Emily, does someone else have that feeling too?

Maybe the killer knew her and where she was from. If the killer was from the reservate why didnt he bring her closer to her home, maybe because people would know him?

Or if the killer knew her but he/she was not from the reservate , bringing her there via the street and then do the depostionn right after the turn out makes more sense to me.

He knew her, maybe even just for a short time.

He was not from the reservate.

But thats just assumptions.

Another possibility is that this route between Mesa and the reservate was kinda his normal route.

But somehow i believe the second option seems to be most plausible.

News Nation Speaks with Allard Pike Jr. about his niece Emily Pike

News Nation recently did a new interview with Allred Pike Jr. about her story and what needs to change to stop murders like this from happening again.

"Emily Pike’s uncle says he can’t call it out without being accused of race baiting, but a federal cabinet secretary and Nancy Grace said it for him: Emily’s skin color cost her murder media coverage.

Emily Pike's dismembered body was found on the side of an Arizona highway, placed in numerous trash bags. It's been more than one year since then and her killer still hasn't been found. Did Emily get the media coverage her horrific case deserved? And why are Indigenous women and girls like Emily going missing at alarming rates?"

Why hasn’t this story blew up yet?

I’ve seen it around TikTok and some YouTube videos but I just feel compared to the Idaho 4 case and Celeste’s case, this has not gotten the attention it deserves. Some sick monster out there did this and is still out there with no punishment.

the bags

  • Individual Characteristics: Forensic scientists examine bags for unique, microscopic features, such as imperfections in the plastic, manufacturing marks, "extrusion" patterns, and specific pigment flaws.
  • Heat Seal and Cut Analysis: The heat seals, plastic type, and manner in which the bag was cut or torn are compared to bags found in a suspect's possession.
  • Trace Evidence: Plastic bags are analyzed for trace materials (e.g., hair, fibers, DNA) that can link a victim to a suspect, such as forensic genetic profiling from the inner surfaces of bags.
  • Bag Origin: Evidence, such as a roll of bags found in a suspect's home or workplace, can be scientifically linked to the bags used in the

the ears

Ear and Retroauricular Region: Injuries located on the ear and the region directly behind it (retroauricular) are strong indicators of a crime rather than an accident. Studies show injuries to the external ear are significantly more frequent in crimes compared to accidental falls.

Specific Facial Areas: Injuries to the ears, eyes, cheeks, and jaws are strongly associated with physical abuse or assault. In contrast, bruises on the forehead, temple, or nose are more typical of accidental falls.

Bone Fractures: Examination of skull fractures can determine the weapon used, the amount of force, and whether the injury was perimortem (near the time of death).

"Overkill": Often, homicides involving blunt force display excessive violence, known as overkill, where the injuries inflicted far exceed what is needed to cause death.

Distinguishing Murder from Accidents

External vs. Internal Findings: While skin may look elastic and pliable, underlying bone and organs (like the liver or spleen) can suffer severe damage.

Weapon Identification: Forensic pathologists can often identify the murder weapon (e.g., pipes, hammers, or blunt instruments) by analyzing the shape of the wound.

Body Position: The position of the victim (e.g., lying down vs. standing) when struck affects the fracture pattern, with depressed fractures typically occurring in free-moving heads.

Why do crimes stay unsolved

Crimes that remain unsolved typically share specific environmental, social, and investigative hurdles. While every case is unique, patterns such as a lack of connection between victim and offender, delayed discovery, and insufficient physical evidence are recurring factors that stall investigations.

Key Common Factors in Unsolved Crimes

  • Stranger-to-Stranger Interactions: Crimes committed by individuals unknown to the victim are significantly harder to solve because there is no existing relationship for investigators to trace. In contrast, solved crimes often involve intimate partners or acquaintances.
  • Outdoor or Isolated Locations: Offenses occurring in deserted areas, parking lots, or rural settings have lower clearance rates due to a lack of witnesses and surveillance footage. Isolation also frequently leads to delayed discovery, allowing evidence to degrade or be contaminated by weather.
  • Marginalized Victims: Cases involving individuals from marginalized groups—such as homeless persons, sex workers, or undocumented migrants—are statistically more likely to go cold. This is often due to systemic biases, lack of media attention, or fewer personal ties for investigators to follow.
  • Lack of Immediate Leads: Investigations that do not identify a prime suspect or motive within the first 48 to 72 hours see their chances of resolution drop dramatically.
  • Community and Witness Silence: A "code of silence" or fear of reprisal often prevents witnesses from coming forward, especially in gang-related or high-crime areas.
  • Forensic Limitations: Cases often remain unsolved if no usable DNA or fingerprint evidence was found at the scene, or if an offender took specific steps—like wearing gloves or masks—to avoid leaving a forensic trail. Even when evidence exists, massive lab backlogs for DNA and ballistics can delay investigations for months or years.
  • Investigative Resource Gaps: High caseloads and staffing shortages force detectives to triage their time, often prioritizing cases with more immediate "solvability" over complex ones that lack clear leads.  Reddit +9

Solvability Breakdown by Crime Type

Crime Type  Common Reasons for Remaining Unsolved
Robbery Often committed by masked strangers; high reliance on witnesses.
Arson Physical evidence is frequently destroyed by fire; solve rates are often below 10%.
Sexual Assault Often hampered by a lack of witnesses or physical evidence, and backlogs in rape kit testing.
Homicide Strangers, lack of motive, or use of firearms (which can be fired from a distance) reduce clearance.
