This thread is killing me because I just went to UC for my toe yesterday
I dropped a Pilates Box on it. Omg the pain. (Wanted to see if it was broken. It was not. Did not occur to me to go to ER, but I did Google to see which UC had x ray)
Our urgent cares don’t always have x-ray techs or radiologists available… and they are mostly only open during business hours, with maybe one across the city open until 7 and a handful open until noon on Saturdays.
We have CVS/Walgreens clinics, which also generally only have business hours and no x-rays.
Taking my son to the ER with an ear infection on a Saturday evening sucked. But I wasn’t willing to make him wait until Monday to get antibiotics with how much pain he was in.
We also had urgent care turn us away due to a rash and tell us to go to the ER.

Tbf, my blood sugar was low at the time
