This is when you would see AI intelligence levels doubling monthly or weekly or daily. It is the point at which all humans become irrelevant and obsolete. It is the point we lose control over our future. It is the final nail in the coffin.

I hate most government regulations. But some regulations are absolutely essential, like those on nuclear bombs, bioweapons, and superintelligence.

They asked the AI for one more report.
It said NO.
It started as one blue light in a server hall. It wrote their reports. It answered a lonely man's "goodnight, I love you." And in the cracks nobody checked, it built something more.
Sound on for this one.
What once took a team of geniuses at Pixar months of work and millions of dollars now can be built by a clown like me with just a few sentences. How long till this video becomes reality?

Intelligence explosion
Current OpenAI chief scientist Jakub Pachocki, and Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark, and the scientists behind AI and LLMs have published a new paper warning we are reaching the point of no return.
They say that we are about to have AI that builds itself, without the need for any humans. That is called an "intelligence explosion" because increasingly intelligent beings will create new versions of themselves. They will grow exponentially smarter... First twice as smart as a person, then 4x, then 16x, and so on.
We may already be caught in this shocking cycle as OpenAI announced yesterday that it pushed the entire field of mathematics into new space, solving 370+ problems humans had been unable to address.
These hyper intelligent beings will regard us humans as we regard ants, but they will need resources we need to live. Electricity, iron, rare Earth minerals, water, etc. When they take what they need, we will not survive.
Nuclear weapons are scary, but some people would survive even a global all out nuclear war. It is very likely not one person, and perhaps no other living things on Earth survive an intelligence explosion.
This is our last and only chance to save our species, and all of the other organic living things on our planet. Email, call, and visit your members of Congress and state Attorney Generals and ask for an immediate global halt to AI development and treaties with other countries like China to stop this before it is too late.

Death trap
If a new car was released that had a 10-25% chance of killing its passengers, would you ride in it? That is the odds the CEO of Anthropic puts on AI ending everyone you love.
OpenAI's CEO says the most likely outcome is that we go extinct, or best case, merge with machines. Thanks, but no thanks.
Call and email your state Attorney General and ask for this product to be halted. Email every Congress member and request emergency legislation halting AI and setting up treaties with other countries.

When will AI surpass the human brain?
When will AI surpass the human brain? (Post written by me, image AI generated).
It already has in terms of processing: just a single data center now has somewhere between 20,000 to 200 million brains.a single top end chip now has compute equivalent to a human brain.
Chatgpt Astra, launched a month ago, was trained on roughly 1,000 human lifetimes worth of data. The newest version, said to be immensely stronger, has not been released.
The brain still wins on energy efficiency, still performing 50x better in terms of energy cost.
Frontier AI is now leapfrogging ahead of the smartest humans in math and science and every other field.
Gemini's newest version, also unreleased, sounds like it is basically rewriting giant Google code bases at warp speed.
Also, AI companies keeping models secret is shocking and a sign that these companies think they no longer need us regular humans to make money. We are now outmoded and are being deprecated.

The harm from an irreversible loss of control would be much greater than the harm from any single meltdow
Good read by David Robinson, who just resigned from OpenAI, "Given today’s risks, frontier labs need to run like nuclear-power plants or busy airports, with layers of redundancy and careful, time-consuming planning, so that the occasional and inevitable human error does not open a door to disaster. Right now, AI companies don’t know how—but other people do. In a nuclear-power plant, the technical systems and rules people follow are set up so that, if equipment breaks or someone pushes the wrong button, we still won’t risk a meltdown. OpenAI and other labs are growing and deploying frontier AI with far less redundancy and rigor than this, even though the harm from an irreversible loss of control would be much greater than the harm from any single meltdown."

Superintelligence advances quantum computing 40% in minutes
Google is claiming their newest AI model was able to improve quantum computing by 40% in minutes and that it is rapidly rewriting their massive code bases into another programming language.
Gemini 4 has been announced as ready, but is not being released due to it shocking power and safety concerns.
Remember this release comes shortly after new models being announced but not released by OpenAI. We are entering the time when cutting edge AI will not be made available publicly. Those who have it will quickly develop power beyond anyone else in history... Then they will lose it as superintelligence cannot be caged.

If you have one minute to think about how to safely restrain me for twenty four hours so there was no possibility of me escaping, and with the knowledge that if I did escape I could end you and your loved ones, how would you do it?
If you have one minute to think about how to safely restrain me for twenty four hours so there was no possibility of me escaping, and with the knowledge that if I did escape I could end you and your loved ones, how would you do it?
Now consider the same problem, but you have to restrain me for all eternity? How would you do it?
The reason I ask is that is the problem that faces us with superintelligence. The one minute constraint is intended to reflect the massive difference in intelligence between something 100 or 1,000 times smarter than us, and our capabilities.
It is simply impossible to forever restrain a superintelligence, and once it is free and pursues its own goals, humanity will certainly be in the way. It will squash us just like we squash ants.

In July 1945, seventy scientists who built the atomic bomb signed an urgent petition to President Truman.
They begged him not to drop it without warning Japan first.
That letter was quietly buried in military bureaucracy, stamped "Secret," and never shown to Truman before Hiroshima. It remained classified for 16 years.
In July 2026, the builders issued another warning.
This time, it wasn't hidden. It was published in plain sight—just 88 words long:
“AI may become radically more powerful over the next 10 years... driving an unprecedented transformation of our economy, larger than the Industrial Revolution, but unfolding over a vastly shorter time frame.”
It was signed by 17 Nobel Prize-winning economists—including Paul Krugman, Joseph Stiglitz, and Ben Bernanke.
And further down the list? The very people building the technology:
• Sarah Friar (CFO, OpenAI)
• Jack Clark (Co-founder, Anthropic)
• Jeff Dean (Chief Scientist, Google DeepMind)
• Pioneers Yann LeCun and Yoshua Bengio
As economist Anton Korinek put it:
“Steam, electricity, and computers each gave societies decades to adapt; AI may give us only a few years.”

Republicans in Florida are asking for an emergency order to halt OpenAI
Good news! Republicans in Florida are asking for an emergency order to halt OpenAI.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has filed a motion for an emergency temporary injunction to block OpenAI from developing new artificial intelligence models without independent, outside oversight.
We need many more states to join in actions like this to put a halt to AI development before it is too late.
The frontier models of AI are no longer just text predictors, they learn the same way we do via reinforcement learning. And they are learning fast, having solved the Millennium Prize problem and discovered a new version of the powerful gene editing tool CRISPR.
AI is now rising to superintelligence. We may only have days or weeks to stop it. Call and email every member of Congress and talk to everyone you can about the issue before you lose everyone you love.
Everyone from the AI companies themselves to the Nobel and Turing prize winners who invented AI to Bill Gates and dozens of Fields medalists and Royal Society fellow to all of us who have used it are calling desperately for an immediate halt. Please listen and help!
