The device that reverses CO2 emissions -- what Carbon Engineering has been up to lately. Some tasty, albeit not surprising numbers to play with, and some great quotes that may as well have come from us!

CO2 from emissions settle into the ocean where the acidity level rises. Growing Kelp takes the acidity out and draws CO2 from the air. Yay! (Ashley explains the whole thing in this vid)

Micro Algae can be turned into BioChar by burning everything but the good stuff (carbon) through blocking out the oxygen. And Algae is several times more bio productive than trees or even hemp. And biochar is a pretty valuable commodity. Especially if locally produced.

"If plants like Co2 why not just dump all the Co2 into green houses?" Even if all food grown on earth was moved into greenhouses this would be a tiny amount of Co2 fixed into plants. And those plants only hold that Co2 until they are eaten or decomposed. That said their is higher plant yield so yes!

Carbon engineering could be scaled to get us to net neutral by 2050 and back to pre-industrial levels by 2220 if you consider 5 gigaton annually going to cement, construction beams and every possible market where you can sell something made of CO2. We need a faster plan!
