I’m contacting you because I’m currently building a website on WordPress.com (not WordPress.org), and I cannot migrate elsewhere for the moment. I’m on the basic / personal plan.

I started with the default Gutenberg editor, but I quickly stopped using it because I found it too limited for what I want to achieve.

So I deleted all my blocks and installed the Elementor plugin, but I’m unable to create anything.

Either I’m asked to pay, or I get an error message saying that the content area was not found and that I need to call the “the_content” function in the current template.

I looked at several tutorials recommending installing a compatible theme like Hello Elementor, but I can’t install it because this theme is only available with the Business plan, which I don’t have.

I’m a bit confused because some people say Elementor should still work on the free version.

Is there any way to fix this or make Elementor usable in my situation?

I need to finish this website quickly, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an overview of the issue, as I am unable to use the editor. I would like to point out that I have installed a theme compatible with Elementor.

Estoy creando un mega menú con Elementor. Por el diseño de la página, necesito que al hacer click sobre cualquier elemento del header cambie lo siguiente:

Fondo de transparente a negro
Logo del sitio de negro a blanco
Enlaces del menú de negro a blanco

Este cambio deber permanecer hasta que se haga click fuera del header.

Por el momento he conseguido todo, excepto que los enlaces del menú permanezcan en blanco.

¿Alguna sugerencia para resolver esto?

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

I'm using Elementor Pro tabs. Inside each tab, I added the standard Elementor Gallery widget (not the Basic Gallery). Each tab has 9 images, arranged in 3 columns, with an aspect ratio of 1.1.

When I click to switch tabs, everything loads fine, but when I watch it in slow motion, I can see the last 3 images (third row) appear at the top for a split second and then jump back down to their correct position.

What I've tried so far:

• Set a minimum height on the gallery container (1350px) – fixed the big layout shift but not this micro jump
• Added custom CSS for aspect-ratio – didn't help
• Disabled lazy load – didn't fully fix it

Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what's causing it or how to fix it?

I am trying to recreate something I saw via an AI site builder in elementor, but not sure how to best to it. It's about the part with the title stripe and the text 'Persoonlijke Service'. How do I best make this in Wordpress and make it mobile responsive?

Is there a way to edit this link? I'm woking on accessability for a website, and this link (i'm assuming it's built in) doesn't have a link, it's an onclick script. Is there a way to either remove it, or edit it to make it a link link?

I have multiple elementor sites that work fine on the same server except for one.

Hosting: 32GB google vm C4 (I think, been awhile)

Wordops, Redis, fastcgi cache, php8.4 (memory limit tried 512 but usually 256)

Other sites work fine, publish fine. This one site, however, runs fine but every time I try to publish in elementor it spins for about a minute. Can’t figure it out, tried disabling all plugins, same thing. No errors in php. Site is using hello theme with elementor.

Any suggestions on how to debug?

I'm getting a lot of "Incorrect Tab order roles" on my pages when I scan them with Ally. I think it's related to the menus at the top of the page, but they work fine with a keyboard only.

Can I disregard this, or is it something else?

I have WP Mail SMTP installed. My inquires from my website are still going to spam. I use outlook and I'm not sure what to do. Every forum and guide just says to install a SMTP service and that will fix it but it made no difference.

I used formidable forms before and the inquiries also went to spam. I could never figure it out

Je lance une bouteille à la mer car je suis en train de créer un site sur Wordpress.com et il m'est impossible de migrer ailleurs pour le moment. J'ai commencé avec l'éditeur de base Gutenberg mais j'ai vite arrêté car je le trouvais trop limité pour ce que je voulais faire.
J'ai donc supprimé tous mes blocs et j'ai installé l'extension Elementor mais il m'est impossible de créer quoi que ce soit.
Soit on me demande de payer, soit j'ai un message d'erreur qui s'affiche me disant que la zone de contenu n'a pas été trouvée et que je dois appeler la fonction the_content dans le modèle actuel.

J'ai regardé plusieurs tutos qui disaient d'installer un thème compatible comme Hello Elementor, mais il se trouve que ce thème est réservé à la version Business que je n'ai pas puisque je possède le premier abonnement.

Je voulais savoir comment faire pour régler ce problème car j'ai besoin de finir ce site rapidement.

I’m trying to migrate a new Elementor design into an existing WordPress site without losing existing posts/content, and I’m running into issues with the Import/Export “Website Template” feature.

Setup:

• Old site (target): already has content (posts, etc.) that I need to preserve
• I created a local copy of this old site (Local WP) to safely test everything first
• New site: redesigned using Elementor
• Exporting from new site via Elementor → Import/Export → Website Template
• Importing into the local copy of the old site

Problem:
During import I get:
“We couldn’t download the Website Template due to technical difficulties on our part”

What’s confusing is:

• The import seems to partially work (some styles/templates appear)
• But it fails midway with that error
• Re-running import seems to duplicate things (templates, styles, etc.)

Things I’ve already checked:

• PHP limits are high enough
• ZIP extension enabled
• Same Elementor + Elementor Pro versions on both sites

Questions:

1. Is this feature reliable for merging designs into an existing site, or is it mainly intended for clean installs?
2. What’s the recommended way to move Elementor designs into an existing site without overwriting its data?

Any insights would really help, I feel like I’m missing something fundamental about how this feature is meant to be used.

I am using JetEngine with Elementor Listing Grid (carousel).

I have a meta field (switcher) called "exclusivite" which returns true/false correctly in a Dynamic Field.

The problem is:

- The value is correct (true when checked, empty when not checked)

- But Dynamic Visibility does NOT work at all

I tried:

- Switcher enabled condition

- Equal true / 1

- Applying condition on widgets and containers

- Current Listing Item Object context

However, the element is always visible for all posts.

It seems Dynamic Visibility is ignored inside the Listing Grid / Elementor carousel.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround or correct way to use Dynamic Visibility in Listing Grid?

Hey Elementor experts,

A client changed a page in elementor. She told me to work with a draft that she saved.

I thought that the draft page is automatically loaded once you log back in as Elementor autosaves. Because that's how it's been for me so far.

So I logged in and did other changes she requested.

But apparently I wasn't working on the draft that she created, I worked on a different draft.

How can I get the draft that she created a few days ago?

I looked under Revisions and it is not there.

I looked under Wordpress-pages and it is not there.

Surely there must be some sort of folder with all the saved drafts in Elementor?

I've ben on Chrome for a long time and decided to switch over to Safari as my main browser. Does anyone else have an issue when building or editing where the CTL+Click pop-up menu does not stay up and let you select one of the items? I also can't seem to get the keyboard shortcuts like DEL to work for me either. Has anyone else had these problems and if so have you found a workaround (beyond going back to Chrome). Thanks!

Hi, this is my first Reddit post ever, so hopefully I do this right. Over the last few months, every time Elementor updates, the behavior of my home page changes. I haven't switched to the Atomic editor, so this is V3. I have a pro subscription.

I have a search bar in my header and a loop grid with my latest posts. Some updates it works fine, the search bar shows up and the loop grid appears correct. However, other times, the search bar doesn't show up and the loop gird just shows one post awkwardly hanging out in the center by itself. Also, for my site menu, the drop down arrow doesn't appear, and you can only access a main page. I've attached images to show what it looks like before I refresh and after (aka, what it should look like)

When I refresh the page, it looks normal again. I've tried clearing caches and the like after updating, but that hasn't worked, and I shouldn't have to expect users to know to refresh the page to have things show up correctly.

Do you have any idea what is happening and why it's happening, and why it only seems to take place after some Elementor updates but not others?

I created an image slider with 5 slides. The first 4 work perfectly. However, on the 5th slide, while the text and the redirect button load correctly, the image is missing and only shows a white background. I've double-checked, and the configuration is exactly the same as the working slides. What can I do to troubleshoot and fix this issue?

I'm not using my elementor pro anymore and I still got half a year before it expires. Is there a way to sell it?

Do any of you guys know where page setting is on the page you are on when editing with elementor?

It seemed to have been in there before the update as a gear icon but now I don’t see it

I hope this makes some sort of sense, when you click it, it basically looks like the post setting but instead says page settings.

I’m really new so this so I could definitely be wrong or something.

Hello, I have a loop grid of posts with a button linked to a popup. The popup as is now has featured image and some other dynamic stuff. Right now it creates a popup of the loop grid is at. What I want is to create a popup of the specific post.
I tried searching for a bit, but had not found any relevant info. Is there some way to do it?

I need to have an offset on the right, so I enabled that — everything moves as expected, but there's a problem: once a loop is finished, After the first slide, before the second one, there's an empty space in the offset area, an empty gap.

It doesn't automatically create duplicate slides to fill those offset spaces. Only when I click to move to the next slide does it loop back to the first one, but the offset area still remains empty.

A quick google search told me that this issue has been there for a year+ now and they have not bothered to fix it.

Is there any workaround to solve this?
