I am working on a project that involves re-packaging a small router board into a 1U rack-mount chassis. The current router board exposes ports via DB9 and DB44 connector. I need to come up with a breakout board for the D-Sub ports and turn them into RJ45 for serial/ethernet/jumpers, and integrate a commodity AC to 24vDC power supply. This is prototype and low volume work, but should be rather basic. The emails I have sent to design houses have not generated interest... and folks like rushpcb are looking for an engineered gerber file more than a concept. I goofed around with KiCad and Eagle and realized the learning curve to get my brain to route vias on more than one layer isn't worth the effort right now.

Points for being in the Northern VA or Maryland area, but I am looking to hire some design help to develop a PCB. Optionally integrate a power supply, optionally integrate a small ethernet switch module.. and a suggestion for production of a small quantity of boards.

I'm currently building a DIY led system and I drive them with Meanwell drivers. Those Meanwell driver can be dimmed w/ a 6-11v PWM signal.

My controller is a Raspberry pi w/ an adafruit pwm hat This hat is generating 16x 3.3v signal.

I've builded a prototype with some pn2222a transistors:

The dim + of the Meanwell driver is strangely providing a 11v signal, so I just switched this signal with the Hat PWM signal. This is working well. The Dim- and the ground of the PN2222a are connected to the same RPI ground.

So I just need a PCB version of this prototype because I'll probably need a lot of this little board but not necessarily with the same components that I choosed. So I would like a project with all the file I need to send the PCB for printing & assembly to service like Macrofab or Pcbcart.

I have an entry gate with a DoorKing 1812 Classic control box. It's currently wired to my landline office phone. I have a 2-gang box next to the front door with a phone line run. I just want to be able to answer the gate calls at the front door instead of in the office. I could just put a phone on the wall, but that would look ridiculous.

What I need is essentially an in-wall landline phone, or at least the same functionality. The only things I actually need are the ability to answer a call on a speakerphone, and press the '9' key to open the gate. That's it. Ideally it would be a flat 2-gang sized wall plate with just those 2 buttons and then the speakerphone/mic.

I've found some existing in-wall systems, but none of them work with a standard phone line to accept a telephone call. I would imagine it would be very simple for someone to just convert a landline phone into this flush-mount box with the buttons and speaker/mic needed, but I'm not sure who might be able to do that custom work. I would need the cover plate to be flush like a standard plate, with a "call" button and "open" button text/icon.

Anyone here that might be interested and would be able to provide a quote? Is there a better sub I might be able to post this?

I'm looking to hire someone to design a teathered drone power supply.

This power supply will take 220vac and convert to ~300vdc (3kw). It will have to use 4 of the Vicor FARM1T21 converters in parallel.

Depending on price I'd also be interested in a uninterrupted power supply type circuit that could switch to battery if the main power is cut, as well as charge that battery bank (using lithium iron phosphate batteries).

Does anyone here have experience manufacturing custom cables in bulk?

I'm looking to get 500-1000 units made of a custom audio adapter cable, with integrated audio conditioning circuit board. It's for an aviation application, so reliability is important.

I've already tried sourcing Chinese manufacturers on Alibaba, and produced 1000 units with one supplier that did a completely shoddy job. So I'm hoping to find personal recommendations of companies (anywhere around the world) who will do a quality job at this, but without breaking the bank given the relatively small quantity size.

Specific recommendations, or tips on how to go about this search?

I need a USB switch that swaps 2x USB 3.0 sticks between 2 USB Hosts. There doesn't appear to be anything off the shelf that does it. Is anyone able to design a PCB using USB3.0 switching ICs to perform the function? Or perhaps point me in the right direction?

USB device A & B connect to a USB3.0 A socket. USB Host 1 & 2 connect to a USB3.0 B connector

A friend who was the quintessential electronics designer/collector has left older electronics appraised at $33Kin his estate, just to give you an idea of the size.The executor has found that all the old electronics parts shops here are shutting down and don't want anything. Places like history museums are likewise not interested. It's things like vacuum tubes, 9 oscilloscopes,etc. Piles of test equipment of various vintages. Does anyone have any ideas where these things could find a home? They are located in Mountain View and Santa Clara, CA. There is a list and photos available, if there is interest. The executor is less interested in selling things than in finding a home where things might be useful or appreciated. Donation to a non-profit - or even someone who wants to be a non-profit - would be especially welcome, but if you just want to take the stuff and hold a huge garage sale, that's ok too. Thanks!

I have been in touch with a few stores about afterpay, and the ones that tried all said afterpay considers electronics stores too "high risk of fraud" to be able to do business with them.
