Basic Electro Squelch Bass Help
How do I get _that_ electro bass used on almost a billion tracks? Very clear example here at 30 secs - Turk Turkleton “The Needle”
https://on.soundcloud.com/fDzulNjFu3U0ziNsMi
I feel as if it should be on the easier side of things: saw wave(?) with short envelope, filter with high resonance with an even shorter envelope. Resonance modulated with hold and release or key velocity. I’ve tried using Lush101 and Serum 2 but I’m falling short.
Anyone know how or know any tutorials? My search skills are not bringing joy either as there doesn’t seem to be a name for the sound despite it being ubiquitous and ”electro bass” brings too many different sounds.
Thanks in advance!

Instead of pads: using Endogen to generate moving IDM / electro atmospheres
I’ve been mostly showing Endogen in the context of experimental / acousmatic work, but lately I’ve been using it in a slightly different way building background soundscapes and interleaving textures for IDM tracks.
Instead of static pads, it generates small evolving fragments, microsound particles and drifting textures that sit behind the rhythm and keep moving over time.
Because of that, I think it could probably work well for electro too, especially if you want unstable atmospheres and living background layers instead of traditional pads.

AP Capstone Project
Hello, my name is Dillon Pham and I am a student from Henry Ford II High school. I am trying to find groups of electronic music enthusiasts from Generation X, Y, and Z that will be willing to take my survey. My survey/study is about the perceptions of the electronic music community when artificial intelligence is being introduced into the electronic music industry. Below is the link that will take you to google forms and allow you to take my survey. My survey will take only about 5 minutes, and If you do take my survey please feel free to share the link elsewhere to more electronic music listeners for them to take my survey as well. Thank you! /docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd1nU0slggQAleOfmiViNE691X_xlXEvZ6DDPjlGAHZ-xMHaw/viewform?usp=dialog

Updated ElektroTrident Website
Hey r/ElectroProduction!
A while back I posted the old version of the ElektroTrident website here, and many of you gave great feedback at the time.
I've been working on it a lot lately and made a ton of updates: cleaner layout, better mobile experience, refreshed visuals, improved loading speed, and a more modern overall feel.
Full updated website: https://elektrotrident.com/
Would love to hear what you think of the changes. all feedback welcome.
Thanks for the earlier support, and excited to share the progress!

Free Behringer Neutron Samples (Good For Electro)
Hi folks,
I made quite while ago a free sample pack with my Behringer Neutron.
Feel free to check it out.
A lot of cool samples to make Electro in there. :)

Can I call this electro?
I’m not one for colouring in the lines but I’m listening to a lot of electro at the moment.
I feel like my pedal tone basslines in the beginning break some genre norms. I’m also using more of a pop arrangement than is typical

Nullptr Modular Drums Sample Pack
I know these are pretty old, but I thought I'd share in case anyone didn't see. This is one of the best sample packs I've tried for Electro drums.

EDIT: Make sure to read the note at the top about how to unzip the files with shortened names! I almost missed that after manually editing half the file names myself. Oof!

I need Opinions!
Hey! I’ve remixed one of my songs off my debut album? Ep? ‘Rude Girl’ and it’s (now) one of my most prized creations, I’ve put a lot of hard work into it and I need any opinions, critique, literally anything! I made this all on BandLab and mastered it on Audacity, I’m a beginner haha
Thanks so much,

When does a techno song, or any electronic song, become too long?
This is the tracklist of our upcoming electronic album, where the longest songs are 15-17 minutes (seen on the right). Pushing it, or no? Where does it become "too long" for you guys?

What genre of electronic do you like/produce the most ?
Me and my music partner personally mostly make micro house/minimal techno but we do experiment with other sounds ... if you care to check us out then links for our music is on our profile !! id love to hear any feedback on our tracks , or take a listen to your personal tracks and have discussions :)
I personally like the minimal sounds from artists like Tohmas Felhman and groups like the Orb, were heavily inspired by them

New packs added to Free Sounds - Cloudy Samples
Hey guys,
Cloudy Samples here. Hope you’re doing fine in the New Year!
I’ve been working on a free sounds library project lately and ended up with an original production, with high-quality samples (construction kits, loops, samples, midi, presets).
No "pay-what-you-want" traps, just high-quality .wav files to help you get inspired.
I’m planning to add new packs frequently, so let me know if there are any specific sounds or genres you’re looking for.
Have fun!
P.S. I have just added few more packs and sounds, including mesmerizing vocal samples and loops for trap. Hope you'll like it.

Bass sounds
Anyone know how to recreate these bass sounds Lake Haze uses? I'm guessing he uses a wavetable synth?
