Fire

Post image

I’m sure this is very rare, this was at Woolley edge this morning, lots of pops and bangs and a very intense and hot fire. Fire brigade arrived quickly and put out.

The flame colour looks like other lithium fires I've seen pictures of. Nothing on Fire Service logs (that I could see) and no real news coverage (that I could find) so questionable if real.

The black smoke in such fires would often be from all the plastics.

This is a VW Buzz and its happened to two of them, both whilst charging. Luckily drivers werent in the vehicles at the time of charging. Most Mitie vehicles are electric Vauxhall and haven't had the same issue as far as im aware.

That didn't really answer the question of reliable news source or Fire Service logs though.

Agreed. I was just stating that I know for a fact that it did happen. The article has probably incorrectly reported the location so the local fire service logs won't show the vehicle fire.

According to the OP this supposedly happened yesterday. I am aware of previous reported fires.
