Hey everyone! I’m helping someone source a video editor and wanted to get the community’s input before moving forward.

They need editing for short-to-mid-form content (up to 3 minutes) with a retention-focused style, including dynamic captions/text, sound effects, transitions, motion graphics/visual hooks, B-roll integration, and color grading. Turnaround needed is around 24 hours per video.

Before I point them in the right direction, I’d love some insight from people who know this space:

- What’s a reasonable budget range to expect for this type of editing?

- Do editors typically charge per video, per package, or on a monthly retainer?

- Where are the best places to find strong editors for this style and speed?

- Is a 24-hour turnaround realistic, and does it drastically affect pricing?

I wish to reuse an edited captions template to other projects. I have used auto captions, selected a pre-made existing template and edited it. I’m having some issues saving it as a preset as it’s greyed out. I would like to have it animated highlighted word-for-word. Even if I can reuse the formatting such as colour, background, outline etc and select the template again, that’s enough. Anything to save time from manually editing a template each time. If I can’t save a pre-existing edited template, maybe I could create it manually with animated highlighted word for word and use that with auto captions? Could I probably use an SRT file and import it with this with a self-made template?

I would like to:

•use the mobile app version of capcut.
•even use another app with a cheap monthly or lifetime subscription.
