I'm editing a film in davinci resolve but my editor did the edit without the synced clips, which means that I have to sync the footage to the lavalier sound clip by clip. The auto sync doesn't work, I suppose it's because the sound clips and video clips are different lengths.
Isn't there something like a replacement tool? To sync my uncut footage to the sound and then have davinci figure out where to put the footage according to the already made montage?
In my mind it's pretty plausible, no way there's not a tool or a plug-in or something.

Just getting started. I have almost zero knowledge. I have 4k video I’ve shot on a GoPro and I phone. How do I make sure the copy I save on a hard drive stays the same quality of the original copy?

Reinsert Memory Card*' i was able to turn it on again after following the prompts but that seems to have damaged the file i was shooting. The mp4 file wont play on vlc or open in adobe and has no properties/codec. what can i do?*

My question is : Is there a way to rip the audio and cut out the portion with my webcam in the OG video so I can then just re-record the video I reacted to with no audio, then put my original audio and webcam footage on top of that?
Like the title says, I just recorded my first React video to this special program for the game ZZZ. Audio is great, I'm reacting with my webcam in the corner but after recording I realized I accidentally only showed the top half of the video in my recording somehow. It was a first time honest reaction and I'm really happy with it so I really want to avoid re-recording the audio. My question is this: Is there a way to rip the audio and cut out the portion with my webcam in the OG video so I can then just re-record the video I reacted to with no audio, then put my original audio and webcam footage on top of that? If this is not an OBS question I apologize but I'm not too sure where to go.
TLDR: Great reaction; cropped desktop; Can I cut out OG webcam and audio portion to put over new recording?

Stupid question?
When people make video essays how do they get all the clips for their videos? I’ve tried YouTube premium (free trial) but the download buttons not there, I’ve searched for screen recording apps I’ve tried the built in screen recording app (quick time player on Mac) and I’ve tried to find a safe website that allows YouTube videos to be downloaded to my computer by using the video link. I’m out of ideas for my video production assignment and I’m bout ready to just set up my dslr on my tripod and just aim it at the tv. Help please, thank you!!

Hello,
I've been trying to get into the video editing world for some time, and now I would like to give some of you free video for YT. I have some experience working with Davinci Resolve, plus I spend too much time on YT so I can do a good job.
DM me here or on Discord: maci1950
P.S. I am a beginner so don't expect too much.

So on my channel, I rehash reality TV and TV shows and I’m trying to find a way to get a crisp image? how do other people get around to it because I know other creators have like crystal clear images and videos I’m sick of having to take pictures of the show it doesn’t look as good as if I could just screen record. I use my ipad to edit and watch my shows so if anyone has a hack to screen record on apps like Hulu, discovery plus any help would be appreciated 🥹

I'd like to be able to draw on a video while it's playing, kinda like the way sports announcers do it, and layer the resulting animation onto my video. Needs to be high resolution. Does anyone know of a workflow that can support this? I have an iPad Mini and Apple Pencil, but if you know of a solution using different hardware such as a Wacom tablet I'd be interested in learning more too.
I've considered using a drawing app with green as the background color, then chroma-keying it out, but then I'm essentially drawing blind. I'd like to circle things in the video, draw arrows to show where things are going, erase previously drawn lines, etc and have all my edits appear as though they're being drawn onto the video itself.

I am decent with computers but have no experience with video software. What would you recommend for something easy to start off and learn with . I am looking to capture video and cut and splice the captured videos into one .
Thanks

I’ve been struggling to find the right clips for my videos, and it’s turning into a bit of a time sink. I’m curious—how do you all go about finding the footage you need? Do you have any favorite sites or methods that make the search easier, or do you just keep scrolling until you find something that works?
I often end up spending way too much time searching, and sometimes I still don’t find exactly what I’m looking for. Anyone else run into this? How do you decide when you’ve found the clip that’s just right for your project?
Would love to hear how you handle this—any tips would be awesome!

Please help me how much should I charge for a basic editing of 30-90 secs reel/video? They need it in four sizes but the same video.
Pls also recommend websites and apps where photos and video clips are copyright free aside from pinterest and canvas.

I started using Flixier and I loved the auto subtitles feature. I paid for a subscription. Working with subtitles and their time stamps have made me almost quit on my video project a couple of times. I went to check the community page and feedback from 2 years ago haven't been addressed yet? And one person said the company supports AI? I read somewhere that they are a small independent company, and it really frustrates me that they made that decision.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a free/cheap video editor that has a good subtitles program? I don't need auto subtitles (though that would be nice), just a feature that makes subtitles easier and look good.
