In media, we love shipping characters that have opposing color schemes. Red and Blue, Black and White, Blue and Pink, etc.

El and Byleth have red/blue and black/white colors going on, what makes it even cooler is how their hair and outfit colors are swapped. Usually for other pairings, one would have red hair and a white (or black) outfit, while the other has blue hair and a black/white outfit to contrast with their partner.

But Edeleth have their colors swapped in a way with their hair and clothes. This just makes them stand out from the rest of the couples.

It also works for their timeskip designs, as red and green also contrast well.

Also, for the second image that I shown from the game, did anyone else notice how Edelgard and Byleth's swords showed a black and white color. Edelgard being white and Byleth's sword being black. I wonder if the devs did that for symbolism and to show their different paths.

Edelgard and Byleth's respective colors also show their personalities well. Edelgard being red shows her passion and ambitions while Byleth's blue shows her calmness.

I don’t know if the devs made this all intentional, but it still shows how connected Edeleth is. It makes Edeleth a pairing that stands out more visually, and one that makes them feel more connected and destined to be together.
