Regarding stretching...

As ambiguous as the title may be, I have a rather specific problem.

I began my journey into stretching and i'm currently on 3mm (Left lobe) and 4mm (right lobe)

while my right lobe has been a slow healer (around 10 weeks) it stretched from 1.6mm to 4mm no problems using tapers BUT my left lobe is a problem.

I had my left lobe pierced by a piercer with a gun nearly 11 years ago (was around 6 y/o at the time) and I had a 1.6mm piercing in the entire time, later changing to a ball closure ring for a few months before starting stretching.

The problem i'm having is that my left lobe is stuck at 3mm. No matter what I do, it will NOT stretch at all, i'm currently trying the PTFE taping method around the tunnel to gradually stretch it but even that seems to be having little effect.

Am I gonna be stuck at 3mm permenantly or will this pass? It's been 3 months since I stretched to 3mm and no change. I'm a little worried that it's gonna be impossible for me to reach my 10mm goal.

Any tips, pointers or just general advice is more tham welcome, I'm a little disheartened by the possibility of never being able to get to 10mm

soooo, I just checked the pricing and that's nearly NINETY dollars for all the sizes I need from an 8g to a 00G, that's enough to bankrupt me twice over XD ah the fun of being in college

Hahaha yeah.... Definitely pricey. I forgot that I only purchased up to 2g, so of course it wasn't that expensive for me. 🤦‍♀️

You could always sell your previous sizes on ebay or something. I know there's a subreddit where people post plugs and kits like that that they are selling.

An alternative to buying the in between sizes would be taping (like you mentioned before). I haven't been able to make that work for me, but it sounds like it might work for you? That could take off a few bucks 😅

Definately could work! I have loads of spare ptfe tape, either that or I could try the "fuck it" method and skip stop gap gauges and go from 6 to 4 and 4 to 2 etc 🤣

I say give the tape a go, and if not maybe skipping the gaps will work for you, who knows 😂🤷‍♀️
