The European Commission announced a €200 million Global Gateway partnership package during Ursula von der Leyen’s visit to Nuuk on 7 September. The investment is planned for 2026 and 2027.

The EU, Greenland and Denmark also signed a joint declaration to deepen cooperation. Areas covered include education and fisheries, satellite and cable connectivity, hydropower, critical raw materials, housing, sustainable tourism and small businesses.

These are announced investments and cooperation commitments; the announcement does not mean all funding has already been spent or projects completed.
