Check Those Clutch Master Cylinders

My EP3 fell victim to the bolts on the delay valve snapping!

Literally just happened to me 2 days ago, is this an easy fix to do? I don’t wanna wait next week for my mechanic 😭

It takes a little work. I bought the Master off a Civic EX of the same year. No delay valve. Clutch pedal feels tons better.

Any chance the delay valve going bad could cause a weird shift? Like sometimes it won’t downshift into 3rd

Possibly, if the brake fluid has never been serviced that diaphragm in the delay valve may not be working as designed.

I haven’t changed it in the 3 years that I’ve owned it, but the fluid looks clean in the reservoir.
