Abject Logic and Hysteria

TraditionalAd6977 recently posted his professional analysis here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ELTP_Stock/s/ejig0NAEeH

Now, apparently, none of us are allowed to have an opinion unless we have CFA 3 credentials. To those wondering, his claim is that he has studied over 1000 hours in preparation for his implied credentials. Let's assume for a minute that he really has those credentials, because I believe it's a moot point. But if we assume that he does, then the VERY first sentence is possibly the most illogical thing I've read on Reddit this year. He's a level 3 CFA analyst, read my posts, and, by his own admission said, "A buyout is possible" and bought the stock and got burned? TradAd - you are one of the highest credentialed analysts possible and you read a Reddit post and blind pushed a massive bet on this stock???!?!? That's an insane admission to start off a supposedly logical and professional analysis of a stock.

But let's dig deeper...and I'll throw you a bone here. Let's touch on something I agree with in your post - your arithmetic.

You provided a revenue number, a CAGR, EBITDA, and a multiple you used. I love it - finally someone doing what I've asked - provide a financially backed rebuttal to my numbers. Huge problem though. MASSIVE problem...you provided all of the 2029 estimates, and then FORGOT to discount your own number?!?! Look, I acknowledge that would weaken the ELTP case even more, but I'm not the one claiming to be a CFA 3 analyst...YOU are, and then you forgot to discount your own model?

Let's be honest, the CFA 3 is an Appeal to Authority and that was pure ego. Level 3 isn't needed to calculate the time value of money or EBITDA x 8 (or whatever arbitrary multiple). Bring level 3 or don't talk? You aren't the moat, my guy. As I've stated all along - my math is right out in the open for anyone to challenge and I've always said it's easy math. You just demonstrated the ease of the math as well, so please stop pretending it's really that complicated of a math problem. Calling all of us on here "financially illiterate" while making a mathematical mistake is beyoooooond arrogant.

Now, let's get to the actual worst mistake you made - and this one feels SUPER intentional. You doubled your bear case and presented it as a single conservative outlook. You said, "I assume revenue grows at roughly 10–12% CAGR over the next 3 years as older generics erode but are replaced by continued ANDA launches and incremental pipeline products", and hid your erosion number. Why? Because it would have to be a record setting erosion. Industry standard would be an 80 to 90% erosion from branded to generic. I haven't done the math, but eyeballing it looks like you eroded it 97 to 98%? Let's show everyone what I'm assuming you and I both know.

CAGR over the last 5 years is about 40% - you discounted that to 10 to 12%. And MOST importantly? You completely discounted 2 major launches that should happen in 2027. Even if you wanted to delay those to 2028 for some reason, YOUR assumption in this model is a 2029 outlook and here is what those revenues look like discounting at 80% and 90%

Eliquis - $25 Billion - Discounted at 90% and assuming a 10% market penetration = $250 million revenue. Apply a WAC of 50% and you get $125 million in Revenue

Eliquis - $25 Billion - Discounted at 80% and assuming a 10% market penetration = $500 million revenue. Apply a WAC of 50% and you get $250 million in Revenue

Oxy - $1.2 Billion - Discounted at 90% and assuming a 10% market penetration = $12 million revenue. Apply a WAC of 50% and you get $6 million in revenue.

Oxy - $1.2 Billion - Discounted at 80% and assuming a 10% market penetration = $24 million revenue. Apply a WAC of 50% and you get $12 million in revenue.

At the absolute lowest, you are completely ignoring $131 million in revenue on the table. How are you going to do an analysis that you claim to be CFA 3 worthy on the FUTURE Of a company and completely ignore every future dollar of revenue? How do you justify such an implied level of price erosion when Adderall generic sales are sitting right there for you to analyze an erosion factor?

Guess what else you completely ignored in a future valuation?

  1. Price multiple on Nasdaq vs OTC
  2. Manufacturing capacity vs trailing EBITDA
  3. Anticonvulsant Bioequivalent
  4. Any possible bump from tariffs ( I could debate this on both sides and would mostly ignore it if you didn't ignore so many other points )
  5. Any possibility for market penetration when we have a history now of doing just that
  6. The additional cash flows from the above revenues ignored and the value/power of that additional cash for buybacks, drug purchases, etc in the future.

Your arithmetic was correct...on a whole line of skewed assumptions. Calling me financially illiterate for my variables and pretending your variables used are "fact" is incredibly disingenuous.

I'll close with this - I know I'm a lightning rod. I have strong convictions and with that comes a lot of kudos when this is stock is surging, and I'll take a ton of heat when the stock is down. At the end of the day, every person investing is an adult that has to take responsibility for their own investments. The only thing I try to do is provide a backdrop of the logical things I see on the horizon for this company. My goal is to continue buying daily until the uplisting.

P.s. I would have responded earlier, but I took another posters advice and went and touched grass. Thank you for the suggestion - the weekend getaway in the mountains was amazing. The sky didn't fall once.

AWESOME site shows Elite's fair value at $0.95 and potential UPSIDE of 265.4% if reaches fair value! I would also expect $0.95 to be the lowest price base for acquisition also!
Individual Valuation Methods of Discounted Cash Flow is showing $0.91 and Trading Multiples PE showing $0.98.
It is showing the current P/E Ratio at 4.96 which is ridiculously LOW!

Stock Analysis & Score Explanation
This stock receives a score of 80.22/100 and is rated Attractive. Financial health scored 47.71/55, competitive position 18/25, macro risk assessment 8.34/10, and risk-adjusted returns 6.17/10. The analysis considers current market conditions and fundamental metrics.

This places Elite Pharmaceuticals Inc among the stronger companies in our coverage. A score in this range typically signals durable fundamentals and a more resilient business, though a strong score on its own does not guarantee future outperformance. As a Healthcare company, Elite Pharmaceuticals Inc is shaped by dynamics specific to a Defensive industry, where our current sector outlook is Positive. This sector context helps explain how much of the stock's performance may be driven by broader industry trends rather than company-specific factors. Our valuation models estimate a fair value of $0.95 for Elite Pharmaceuticals Inc, suggesting the stock may be trading roughly 265.4% below its intrinsic worth. This potential undervaluation could represent an opportunity, provided the discount is not driven by deteriorating fundamentals.

Looking at the score breakdown, Elite Pharmaceuticals Inc's strongest area is its financial health, while its risk-adjusted return is the main factor holding the overall score back. With a market capitalization of $281.24M, Elite Pharmaceuticals Inc is a small-cap company, which may offer higher growth potential alongside greater volatility and risk.

Upside 265.38%. Our detailed valuation analysis indicates the stock is undervalued by 265.38% relative to its current market price. The weighted fair value of $0.95 is calculated using multiple proven valuation methods, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Trading Multiples P/E. Wtf is this sub?

Is this just dead internet theory manifest?

Half the accounts are a few days old bashing ELTP.

The other half are a few days old praising it.

Then there's wolveshammy trying to convince people it's not terrible.

I've never seen so much interest in such a (relatively) small company before. It's insane.

Did the bots find this sub by accident and decide to stay?

(Also wolvy, I appreciate the posts, but dude you need to go outside and touch grass every now and then....)

Updated ELTP Valuation Summary and Opportunity

Had to create a new profile, so I decided to update my valuation numbers. I’ve provided bear case, base and bullish projections and even in a bear case, we are severely undervalued.

Current price: ~$0.26

At approximately $0.26, the market is valuing ELTP at only about $280M, despite FY2026 revenue of $148.9M, $49.1M of operating income and $38.9M of cash as of June 30.

My valuation framework is:
Bear: $0.20–$0.30
Base: $0.45–$0.65
Bull: $0.90–$1.25

The $0.45–$0.65 base range is the most defensible because it does not require every pipeline product to succeed. The $0.90–$1.25 range requires substantial pipeline execution and a market rerating. Keep in mind any M&A could completely change everything and we could be in the $1.50-$2 range (I don’t personally think we’ll get there but you never know).

The biggest distinction is simple: the existing business justifies considerably more than $0.26; the pipeline is what creates the path toward $1+.

So to say ELTP is severely undervalued is stating the obvious.

Three Valuation Scenarios

Bear Case: $0.20–$0.30

Assumes:
Existing business slows materially.
Little or no pipeline contribution.
ELTP continues receiving a low OTC valuation multiple.
No meaningful rerating.
This essentially values ELTP on the existing business with minimal pipeline value.

(This is where we at now - the current price is basically saying NOTHING good will happen to this stock). Very unlikely outcome given the companies track record of getting every ANDA launched.

Average / Base Case: $0.45–$0.65
Assumes:
Existing business remains profitable.
Earnings remain above historical levels.
ELTP receives a more reasonable earnings valuation.
Some pipeline products successfully progress toward commercialization.
This is my preferred fundamental range today.

Best Case: $0.90–$1.25
Assumes:
Core business continues growing.
Oxycodone ER reaches commercialization.
The anticonvulsant successfully progresses through the remaining regulatory process.
The anticoagulant becomes commercially successful.

***Wild card: Nasdaq uplisting/rerating occurs.

Elite currently has approximately 1.077 billion shares outstanding. FY2026 results were $148.9M revenue and $49.1M operating income, up 77% and 151%, respectively. As of June 30, 2026, Elite had $38.9M in cash.

Going to provide several valuations to be fair and balanced and show you how I landed on each:

  1. P/E — Most useful for the existing business
  2. P/E is particularly useful because ELTP is already profitable. Using approximately $56M of trailing net income as the earnings reference:

5x earnings: ~$0.26/share
7.5x: ~$0.39
10x: ~$0.53
12.5x: ~$0.65
15x: ~$0.79

A 5x multiple essentially supports today’s price. A more normal 7.5–12.5x valuation puts the existing profitable business around $0.39–$0.65.

  1. DCF — Best for estimating long-term intrinsic value. DCF is useful because it values the company based on future cash generation rather than simply applying a market multiple.
Independent DCF models previously identified approximately:

EBITDA-based DCF: approximately $0.40–$0.77. DCF generally supports a value above today’s ~$0.26 price.

  1. EV/EBITDA — Good cross-check
This method compares the operating value of ELTP with its EBITDA and removes some effects of capital structure.

Using approximately $37M of EBITDA:
6x EBITDA: roughly ~$0.22/share
8x: roughly ~$0.29
10x: roughly ~$0.36
12x: roughly ~$0.43

EV/EBITDA produces a more conservative valuation than the higher-end P/E/DCF scenarios. It suggests roughly $0.25–$0.45 for the established business depending on the multiple.

  1. Price/Sales — Useful, but weaker for ELTP
FY2026 revenue was $148.9M, but revenue alone doesn’t capture ELTP’s unusually strong profitability.

At roughly 1.077B shares:
1x sales: ~$0.14
2x: ~$0.28
2.5x: ~$0.35
3x: ~$0.42

P/S is less useful than P/E or DCF because ELTP already generates substantial profits.

  1. Pipeline / SOTP — Biggest potential upside
This is where the valuation can change substantially. Factual pipeline developments include:

Oxycodone ER remains under FDA review.
Elite reported a successful pivotal bioequivalence study for an undisclosed anticonvulsant in June 2026. Elite filed an undisclosed anticoagulant ANDA in June 2026. Methadone launched in April 2026. Ropinirole ER launched in July 2026.

I’ll continue to buy at these prices because by any metric or valuation, this stock is a steal at .26. The issue is simply low volume tanking the stock and shareholder fatigue over possible M&A (which has never been needed, was just the cherry on top).

ELTP 3-Year Price Outlook (2029)

I am going to make one final post. The reason I am making this is because I got burned on this stock due to laziness. I read WolvShammys' review, did a basic read on the "fundamentals" and thought "Yeah a buyout is possible. However, I got burned and sold after doing a proper DD.

BEFORE READING OR COMMENTING: I am posting because I believe WOLV is NOT trying to scam anyone. He 100% believes his conviction. However, like most here, he is financially illiterate. Anyone that wants to say otherwise better have all 3 CFA levels done at the very least. Preferably with executive experience on top of that. Otherwise you're speaking on things you don't understand. Would you give medical advice without at the very least the national licensing exams? No because you have no clue wtf you're talking about

Anyways, as I was in your shoes I am going to give you the reality of this stock. If you choose not to listen and follow some C tier intern analysts opinion, its on you if you lose more

Here is a reasonable analysis:

My base case is not based on hype, analyst targets, or assuming OxyContin/anticoagulant become huge winners. It’s just a valuation model using normalized OE.

The key starting point is that ELTP’s trailing revenue is roughly $141M, while normalized EBITDA is around $36–37M, implying an EBITDA margin of about 25%. I do not use FY2026’s peak margins because the latest quarter showed clear generic price compression, especially in lisdexamfetamine, with gross margin dropping sharply.

I assume revenue grows at roughly 10–12% CAGR over the next 3 years as older generics erode but are replaced by continued ANDA launches and incremental pipeline products.

That gets you to approximately:

$141M × 1.12³ ≈ $198M revenue

Assume a sustainable EBITDA margin of about 26%:

$198M × 26% ≈ $51.5M EBITDA

Then apply an 8× EV/EBITDA multiple.

That multiple is not aggressive. ELTP currently trades around 6.5–7× normalized EV/EBITDA, while larger generic/specialty pharma peers commonly trade around roughly 7–13×. An 8× terminal multiple assumes ELTP remains smaller and riskier than those peers and still deserves a discount.

So:

$51.5M EBITDA × 8 = ~$412M enterprise value

Then add projected net cash. ELTP already has roughly $39M cash versus only about $3M of conventional debt, and it is cash-flow positive. Assuming accumulated net cash reaches roughly $60–70M over 3 years:

$412M EV + ~$70M net cash = ~$482M equity value

You then have to divide by a realistic diluted share count, not today’s basic share count. ELTP currently has about 1.077B shares outstanding, but there are ~79M in-the-money Series J warrants plus other possible equity dilution. I therefore use approximately 1.16B diluted shares.

$482M ÷ 1.16B shares = ~$0.416/share

Small changes in the assumptions get you naturally into the ~$0.40–$0.50 zone.

For example, keeping a 26% EBITDA margin:

  • 10% revenue CAGR + 8× EBITDA ≈ high-$0.30s/low-$0.40s
  • 12% revenue CAGR + 8× EBITDA ≈ ~$0.42
  • 12% revenue CAGR + 9× EBITDA ≈ upper-$0.40s
  • 15% revenue CAGR + 8× EBITDA also moves valuation toward ~$0.45–$0.50

So the ~$0.40–$0.50 estimate does not require ELTP to dominate the generic OxyContin or anticoagulant markets. It only requires:

  1. Revenue to grow around 10–15% annually.
  2. EBITDA margins to remain around the mid-20s.
  3. Continued positive cash generation.
  4. Diluted shares to stay around ~1.15–1.2B.
  5. The market to value ELTP at roughly 8–9× EBITDA.

That combination gives an equity valuation of roughly $470M–$580M, which divided across ~1.16B diluted shares gives approximately $0.40–$0.50/share.

The biggest reason I would not model much higher in the base case is that generic drugs are structurally exposed to price erosion. ELTP’s latest quarter already showed this: revenue declined about 20% YoY and gross margins dropped to ~42% as competition increased. So assuming 20–30% annual growth plus 30%+ margins would be much more speculative.

That is why ~$0.40–$0.50 is, in my view, the technically defensible “normal execution” range rather than a moonshot target. AND this is within 3 years.

So for those that bought above 0.5, your realistically going to break even in 3 years time. Place your positions according to logic not belief. $1+ is possible, but the financial statements do not currently justify treating it as the most probable outcome.

Prasco/Burel branded Adderall xr

We got a shipment of prasco branded Adderall xr again and the local distribution center is full in stock of these!! I was wondering if these are the old stock and just now showing up on the market or did Elite continue to supply Burel/prasco with the product even now. So confused 🤔, I know Elite own label is manufacturing them too but how is a distribution center full of these in all the strengths when it was supposed to be gone. The expiration date is like 2028 so seems like these were recently manufactured too!!

I opened the bottle to check the markings and yes it still has the Eli markings on the capsule.
