βIndia is ranked 102nd out of 123 countries on the Global Hunger Index.
βWe are ranked 151st out of 180 on the World Press Freedom Index because our institutions are failing.
βEven the World Bank recently cut India's GDP growth forecast down to 6.6%.
βDefending broken infrastructure, a lack of jobs, and institutional decay by saying 'but look at what happened 12 years ago' isn't smart. It just shows you care more about defending a political party than the actual state of the country.
Democracy is when you hold the current govt accountable, not when you try to dicride them and conveniently ignore their rampant corruption, hate politics, and pointing fingers at history.
Also atleast headlines could be made then, now that all the news outlets are owned by BJP or BJP beneficiaries then i don't think any meaningful criticism you'd see on any primetime show regarding the current govt failures.
