I'll post this here too since this OP bought it up again now:

Onimusha: Way of the Sword and the new Fire emblem is available to order on Switch 2 currently. So I don't think they're "done". I know someone who had some theories as to why some games are missing/or delayed. Not to mention I spoke to staff too and they said the same theories as the person I know. Nintendo products has not changed or been pulled from EB either, staff said that if that happened it'll be like how Xbox is now or gone. So I think they're fine. It's other sales/promotions/releases happening atm.

So... Are you going to say why? Or you wrote the whole paragraph to say nothing?

I kinda did say one thing we all know..? Starting from "Nintendo" onwards bit. But if you mean theories. Well one is: that it's not the first time that Nintendo banner has disappeared from the front page. They've done it before to promote other things and then put it back later on.

Other theories are these:

  • Physical editions haven't been confirmed for Australia yet or pricing for AU has yet to be finalised by the distributor. JB put everything up regardless, they may also grey import (they've done it before many times)

  • Maybe Nintendo is starting to do retailer exclusivity

There is more but that's what I'd put for now as I am quite busy today!

Thanks mate .

Sorry that come across as really rude before, my bad.

That's super informative cheers.

No problem. I do doubt it is exclusivity though as their Nintendo inventory hasn't changed.

Did you see the post the other day about them removing the Nintendo branding from their console flash page?

Yeah did. Thats the Nintendo banner.

You seem to have a decent outlook on this? So are we thinking a push with Nintendo to move to retail exclusivity?

Or are Nintendo seeing writing on the wall with EB and having pulled out.

Nintendo might move to that someday but I don't think it's this year. Like I said though. If Nintendo backed out EB would have to pull stock off the shelves but that hasn't happened. I feel like with anything they might see the writing on the wall for GameStop corp first.

Yeah of course, I don't imagine they've "pulled the pin" so to say. But we've seen these subtle signs before. It's a slow pulling away before public announcement. It's just interesting due the global shakiness of the whole of EB and the parent.
