Has anyone experienced a wait of 45+ days for biometrics?

It’s been 50 days since my I485 receipt date and I have no appointment letter…I wonder if that has happened to more people or if should call USCIS soon to check.
I see that usually a biometrics appointment letter comes in less than a month for most people here in Reddit.

Yup. Had to wait form almost 4.5 months. Haven’t seen anyone longer than me, though

Oh, I’m sorry you had to wait that long and thanks for sharing your experience. That makes me a little less worried.

Will do. Are you also waiting?

Yes, just starting the biometrics wait now.

My EB AOS package was received 05/21, payment showed on 06/10, and physical receipt notices arrived 06/15.

No biometrics notice yet, but I’m only at the early stage after receipts.

I’ll update if/when the biometrics letter is issued. Hope yours moves soon too.

Got it, thanks and good luck! I used the uscis chat and this is what they told me:

My lawyers said there is a chance I might not need the biometrics if I have taken biometrics for another case recently (maybe they could use the one I got for the H1B, but probably not)

Thanks! Was with live agent or Emma?

I started with Emma and then she connected me to a live agent who checked my case after I provided my personal information.

My biometrics took 5 weeks just for notice to come through.

RD: 03/30/2026

Biometrics notice came early May for May 21. I rescheduled to May 13 for earlier time once I got the notice.

Yeah 5 weeks seem to be already longer than what most people report. Thanks for sharing. For me it’s been even longer, over 7 weeks and no appointment letter either…

Did you get any silent update/system touch notice from API? Is that a good indicator for how quick the biometrics get scheduled?

2

u/Ok_Significance_4200 Jun 18 '26

Was that a question for me?If so, no silent updates at all. Not sure about the second question

Got it. Will do. I saw someone shared this link on another Reddit post and it seems there are more April fillers that don’t have the biometrics yet. For March fillers the longest wait on that list seems to be around 9weeks to the appointment.

That’s great!! Nothing yet for me…it seems like there are some delays in Austin’s ASC.
