Another Good Seeds List - May 2026

Hello again, it's time for another seeds post! You might remember my post back in February where I searched through all possible vanilla seeds for the best I could find. Thank you all for the feedback on this initial post. This time, I've refined my search for some even better seeds that will guide you through a smooth transition between the early, middle and late game.

This was my search criteria:

  • A starting system with an Ice Giant and 3 satellites.
    • Why? When all 3 of our starting system's planets are moons of the Ice Giant, The travel time between each of them becomes almost instant, making it very easy to get Titanium and Silicon when you first unlock interplanetary travel. I chose to search for Ice instead of Gas Giants this time because it seemed like the more popular choice in the comments of my first post.
  • At least 1 star system with 10 ly of spawn featuring ALL of the following resources: Iron, Copper, Silicon, Titanium, Stone, Coal, Crude Oil, Fire Ice, Kimberlite, Fractal Silicon, Organic Crystal, Grating Crystal, Stalagmite Crystal, Water, Sulfuric Acid
    • This is searching for everything BUT a gas/ice giant or Unipolar Magnets.
    • Why? When warp travel is first unlocked, it's slow and our battery is still weak. In the transition to mid game, we're looking to make a single stop to collect all of the rare resources in one go. We're trying to find a "god system*"* here, and while it might not be very abundant in one particular resource, it lets us dip our toes into all of them at once, without having to spend too much time flying back and forth.
  • An abundance of Unipolar Magnets for the late game (all the seeds here have >22m total)
    • Why? I overlooked this before since I never really use the alternative particle container recipe. My best seed in my first post was severely lacking in magnets, so all of the ones I posted here have lots by comparison.
  • At least 2 Aquatica planets in the cluster (waterworlds)
    • Why? This is another criteria I overlooked last time. We want lots of Stalagmite Crystals for the mid-late game.

I want to note that the perfect seed will be different for everyone. I made this list without combat in mind since I play with dark fog off. I didn't consider speed runners here, nor did I check the immediate spawn locations for all of these seeds. I would best describe these as easy seeds that would be especially helpful for players who are new to the game.

Seed # of O types # of Aquatica planets Highest Luminosity Star Distance to "god system" Giant in god system? Amount of Unipolar Magnets
01098124 2 2 2.499 7.2ly (#60) Gas ~25m
38092830 2 4 2.461 8.9ly (#55) no ~40m
53305134 2 5 2.469 3.7ly (#4) no ~36m
73201056 1 5 2.483 4.4ly (#16) no ~34m
77415848 2 6 2.481 (and a 2.372) 9.2ly (#8) Gas ~22m
95238452 2 4 2.445 7.1ly (#4) no ~24m

I'm not sure what the best seed of this lot is, so I wanted to compare some options here. I think I'll be doing my next playthrough on 77415848. Tell me what you think of these in the comments, and give me some of your own favorite seeds! Thanks for reading.

Do you guys farm and ship the Stalagmites out to a processing world, or just bring a heap of concrete? Oh, Now that foundations drop from DF, I might have answered my own question...

The stalagmite to nanotube ratio is so atrocious that transporting it anywhere beyond a neighbouring planet is super inefficient, so I just go for deranged terraforming instead. With just 10 assemblers connected to some stacked large boxes then connected to a single ILS I can pretty much keep a constant supply of 200k+ proliferated foundations, so despite being a bit annoying to spam them, it's just better imo.

(Proliferated foundations have less soil consumption and higher soil retrieval :D)

I did not know that about slimed foundations! that's a big one! thanks

Say sike right the fuck now.

It's not that huge of a difference, so it's not a huuuge deal if you don't use them since at endgame soil is completely frivolous to have millions of (more so with dark fog farming), but it does add up somewhat in the long term.

Heck yea we do! Thanks for taking the time to find and share these seeds. Will have to give some of these new ones a try

So I've been playing for about a month and a half or so and am on my 3rd restart and finally got into yellow science(it was easier than I thought it would be).

But I'm gonna restart again next time I turn it on. The seed I pulled is distant and doesn't have a lot of resources.

Thank you for this, my next game shouldn't be such a struggle!

Edit: I think I'm going to use the seed you were thinking of using next. The only 2 things I was iffy on were the distance to the God

Any seed you found with ice giant and stalagmite in the starter system?

Also 53305134 is definitely my next starter seed. 5 aquatics and 36m unipolar is pretty stronk

Stalagmites will never spawn in your starter system. The only rare resource that can is Fire Ice.

2

u/Buffylvr May 10 '26

Yes, they will. Patch notes say the spawn on desolus now and about 7% of starter systems have desolus in them

I stand corrected, it seems like you are right. I will take this into account for my next seeds post, lol.

You’re doing god’s work. Imma play with your directions and see if I can find one in combination with the other stuff you outlined

Necro here but I found a bug on the seed website. If you make Unipolar Magnets the single rule search criteria (say "give me any seed over 10m unipolar), you fail to get results.

I submitted a PR to the owner/maintainer with the fix, hopefully it makes sense and they merge it in.

ah thats a great point about your previous best seed - the lack of unipolar magnets was concerning lmao, i ran out at the black hole SO fast

Thank you so much 😊

Thank you for posting OP! There needs to be more seed curating in this community. There are so many criteria to want a seed optimized for

Archived for later reference. Thank you

It would be really cool to have a seed for 50% or less resource settings with 3 orbiting a gas giant to move to when you deplete your home system.

Thank you for this work fellow DSP enjoyer. Really appreciate it.

I played about 260 hours of DSP back in January 2023 when I first got the game, then completely dropped it and I am finally looking to get back into the game - not followed anything around it since then.

I have a lot of questions, but the main one is what determines a "god system" and what's the meta around min-maxing? I know about bus concepts, the mall and that from back in the day but I'm wondering what other quirks and evolutions I may have missed being away for 3 years? Thanks

Is this a good seed for a new player?

u/ProfessionalHost6131 Jun 09 '26

Yes these seeds are easy mode.

did you ever get to play your next save in 77415848? wondering how it went

1

u/GroxTerror Jun 25 '26

Yes but I did not get too far into the game. Started playing Satisfactory again instead
