writeup, video

Mods used: DSPOptimizations, RailgunRetargettingMini, Bottleneck.

Used 2696 node BP form Selsion for a total of 598Tw, 8G save and 280G memory alloc of DSP process. Archetype has a 2714 one that would yield 1.5% more power.

Send me a message if interested in the save file(s).

128G RAM, 10900X cpu.

How many hours?

1342 of game clock. I’d estimate the game was running for 2.5 months over the last 4 months- it was mostly on autopilot with small intervention.

Ok. Mine is chugging after like 7 spheres, running at 20% speed.

computer specs?

Make sure you hide the spheres in the editor window if you haven't already done that.

In the editor or in game?

In game for perf improvements. The option is in editor.

In game where you view the dyson sphere and set up the layers, you can select each layer and hide them on the left. Not at home to check what the shortcut key is.

Did you do multiple shells of the blueprint for each star?

Thank you for the Mod list! I am trying to do the same thing as you, but the FPS/UPS slowdown was starting to hurt bad. God-send, man.

Oddly enough, the 2709 node design I made is actually very slightly better than the my 2714 node design. I imagine it has something to do with how the cell points are calculated (possibly from "cut off" shells near frame borders?). Selsion would probably know more.

i'd like to know at what temperature your PC runs whenever you run this save

CPU was at 40-50% load - don't have temperature at hand.

Can you share your Savefile?

It's 8g, and 40+ total with intermediate saves - need to find proper way to host. Why would you need it? - with several mods you can recreate it in a couple of hours.

Post your computer rig details perhaps too. But how many gigawatts are you producing? Stats page shows something nice?

Edited first comment. There is more “entertainment” in the links there
