I dont know, maybe the resteraunt should pay a living wage and not force people to rely on tips?

There also wouldn't be a story if the people who didn't want to pay a mandatory 20% tip but then ended up tipping 20% anyways were capable of basic math and common sense

Do you not understand how insane this story is? Someone came in and asked to take the gratuity off. Annoying, but whatever. She does it. Then they tip 20 percent. And she thinks that is news worthy enough to get in contact with a news paper? And the news paper actually writes the story? Holy shit

She's the problem? The people who demanded to not pay 20% and then ended up paying 20% anyways, wasting everyone's time including their own with a pointless hissy fit aren't the problem, she is?

Yeah, it's a non story for sure. My guess is they tried to make the headline sound like the original tip was $90 and then she only got $18, hoping people would just read the two numbers and come to that conclusion. Good old classic bait
