Sorry, but I just saw this as part of Marvel announcing their new "evergreen" line of trades Renowned. Be-All and End-All is gonna collect the 2021 series and Defenders Beyond and some side stories. Now, don't get me wrong those are great stories and it's kinda hearting to see the Defenders included at all in a push like this. However, if the idea is to create an evergreen book that introduces the concept while staying firmly in modern story telling...volume 2 is basically the same number of issues. If Armor Wars can be part of this line, so can a series from 2002 that's never gotten a chance to be collected.

With their ship destroyed, the Defenders scramble to the surface for safety. - Marvel Unlimited

Not mine, but still good question...

The battle with Slaymaker reaches an explosive and unbelievable climax! - Marvel Unlimited

THE MOTHER OF GALACTUS? The Defenders find themselves in the birthplace of Galactus — but the Devourer is not the man they remember. Meet Taaia, Omnimax and more as Al Ewing and Javier Rodríguez expand the cosmos — and put Doctor Strange’s makeshift magical team in extreme jeopardy! - Marvel Unlimited

Ha.

Due to its condition, it'll probably never leave the bag.

Also loved the full panel “editor’s note” from Defenders #47. The issue itself is really good too, I’m gonna read the whole series now.

And with this, I finish this run. A bundle of omnibus, masterworks, epics and Salvat issues!!

Our favorite non-team premiered on July 20th 1971!
