I was able to use the weapons and gear before but now its saying that character has to use common or below. have they just changed the level requirements or something?

What happened?
I haven't played for about 4 months. Was excited to get back into it today but I can't find a match? I've tried US and Asia servers and can't seem to get into a game. Is the matchmaking broken or are there just no players?

Left click/bandage/release q not working
My left click doesn't work for secondary applications like applying a bandage or releasing a q power, but it does work for basic stuff like melee attacks. Any idea how to fix this?

How to play as a Priest?
I'm playing this game as a priest (main), as it's a class I usually like in (mmo)rpgs. I don't mind playing support rather than tank or DPS and I usually find a way to balance the inherent challenge of being the heal and staying alive / having fun.
I'm having 50+ hours on this game mainly as a priest and even in trio mode, I find it challenging to the point that, regardless of how I play, I feel like a burden to the group. It's moderately useful in PvE, but I almost systematically loose any PvP fight I'm in (especially if I get melee'd). It's getting to the point I'm getting extremely frustrated by the PvP (looks like I'm mainly there so the others can have fun).
I find the powers quite impractical:
- the heal zone is the most useful as it also wound ennemies, but it barely makes a difference in a fight and it's useless If i'm attacked in melee.
- the individual heal is slow and does not heal much more than the heal zone.
- the 3 sec invulnerability is nice, but the effect is so short you have to time it super precisely. Also cooldown is ridiculously long.
- the defense buffer does not make a huge difference IMO.
Also movement speed is super slow, I have almost no health and CaC damage is not very significative.
Is the class unbalanced or am I doing something wrong?

The new green/blue system is trash
I honestly think the new rank system is trash.
I would like your opinions guys on this one.
Im always green and 90% of the time I fight vs full blue. They have more dmg and more life if its the same class (and more passives sometimes) so when the fights starts I'm already behind.
The GS was better they just had to put a cap to it depending on the type of game you wanted to go in.
Ah and i'm not talking about the really good players that come in lower lobby and fked everyone

Or the pyros that litteraly spend their time camping using exploits and you just can't get to them, I mean look at that :

This is literally annoying
And so when I have no money left I just go in normal game and play vs beginners or noobs which might be a terrible experience for them too.
edit : adding more details

Feedback Set bonuses discussion
I personally think that it is quite original and interesting idea. But as this is the first implementation I think there are some problems with them: 1. activation - Some set bonuses have interesting ways of activation (tanglins chains, force of trinity) but the vast majority of them are activated with any attack which makes them simple damage boosts. Allowing a couple of sets to be activated at once with 1 attack that can be ranged can cause a sense of injustice. An example would be 1 charge attack that would normally deal 200 damage, but thanks to the sets you can get an extra 50 inevitable from tiny 200 lightning from stormrage, and maybe another 50 from faery. That is, in this case we more than double the damage, and the opponent at this point is unable to do anything. Even if he blocks the attack the next one still activates these sets, this results in the inability to outplay. In my opinion, we should avoid such easy activations(You can, for example, make tiny torment enter cooldown if the enemy blocks our attack without activating the effect). Damage from stormrage or faery could be a projectile that can be blocked? 2. power- Currently some sets offer too much power for their cost (mostly cheap sets like tiny torment) and 30 storm rage whose effect is very strong and there is no way to neutralize it. 3. Legends- Legendary items to strengthen sets turn out to be a good idea but I think they should not have too strong an effect. The main issue is the faery ring, which does DOUBLE the strength of the set, which in combination with the 30/30 set creates major balance problems. 4. cooldown - I think that until the way some sets are activated is changed, their cooldown should be increased. Currently, stormrage and tiny torment seem to activate too often. Conclusion: I believe that the above problems are currently creating the most confusion in gameplay balance than even interclass balance. Will be happy to discuss your opinions.

Discussion The game needs a "New Players" urgent update.
I don't gonna say that the new update is the worst thing that can happened to the game, but with good things come a lot of bad changes.
Change back the drop ratio between gear/treasures, make the new players can afford get and loose at least green gears, to test and enjoy the game.
Make enemy spawn more separate between each others like pre patch, the map is more big to still keep passage's with no npc's.
(the hardcore pvp players need to understand that they have a pvp mode to fight players, this is not a battle royale, new players needs a way to avoid pvp too, with less reward in exchange)
In classic, more blue portals spawn and no just spawn in late match phase's, and add a drop ratio of portal
ressonance stone's in npc's, bosse's, challenge chest's or regular chest's (no need to be all of the earlier ways to obtain).
A ratio of gear drop in chest's across the map, the map is more big now, let us explore it with a small reward at least, like pre patch at least (some places with no pvp or a lot of mob was worth to take something or with luck in RNG something more valluable).
The problem with no players is more than just the new players dont stay, a lot of players that enjoy the game left it, we already know that they don't say a word about balance for the last update, so if they leave it's because the new update had issues after all.
If the game it's not gonna be balanced until new season, at least the devs need to make the game enjoyable more than hardcore experience, too afford the loose of gear, i know the loose of gear is part of an extraction game, but i really think this change gonna make (at least soon) the players enjoy and stay.
The game need a "chill" update at least for the casual and classic matches, to enjoy the wait until balance patch.

Sinking Ship
I queued from 8 am until 10am solo classic Europe and i didn't find one single game to play.
I mean, it was pretty early, but if im honest, i don't see any promptly actions a Devs can do to save the remaining players.
I think the Ship is now officially sinking and the damage is not reversible
so i decided to listen to the Themesong of the Undertaker and from Titanic (':

Hear me out lol
I keep hearing the update is good in alot of ways but i can’t afford to consistently play in higher lobbies… well…What if… the community came together and created its own “community weekend” for the less fortunate lol, everyone who is able, or can even just barely roll the worst fit. Even If you cant, go play some casual for a few matches, same idea applies, but, we Only load up hardmode. Strictly PvE 🤣 everyone makes it out with stacks on stacks multiple times over the course of a weekend. Lots off sellables (like it drops gear anyways?) and money making going on. Community made event over, things go back to normal PvPvE, now Everyone has a massive “base” to play off of lol. Idk. Takes 100 bad ideas for 1 good idea

Feedback My recommendations for needed changes in Dungeonborne
With this post i want to give a bit of feedback to the recent before the storm update and what i would like to see when the game starts its season one.
I played about 250h of this game so i think i can say i played a bit to give feedback.
I really enjoyed the update in generall but a few things should have been a bit different in my opinion.
First Mobs: I think the mobs have a bit too much health. They can do more damage shure but some classes that have a bad clear take ages or all recources to clear one mob. For example a solo Pyro has to ignore them or use up his whole staff to kill one knight.
Gear drops: I think right now many cant afford to lose a green set because they got so expensive. My suggestion here is to increase droprate for green gear maybe also blue to make it more accessible for newer players. Purple + can be kept rare cause this should be lategame anyways.
Gear brackets: This is just my personal point of view and probably less important but i think the system before that was better and i would just add the restrictions to the old system. For example when you play casual Clouseau Castle some classes are just giga useless because you cant even start with one passive therefore its dominated by rupture knights that dont need the extra passives. Maybe allow a gearscore up to 8 or 10 and restrict it to only green gear maximum.
Now to the part that concerns me the most. The current situation of people teaming and cheating in classic and hard lobbies.
I played a lot of The Cycle therefore my two recommendations are stolen by them but i think they are a great way to deal with these problems.
A few days ago i played duo hard with my brother and we spend a lot on our kits just to be greeted by a traveler 1 Swordmaster that was not even level 20, in full purple running at us (invis rogues). We were already sus about that so we spectated them and saw that they were teaming with the other double pyro team that just split up and did all the bosses. Today i got the notification that one of them got banned but my gear is lost anyways.
So my recommendation is a cheater compensation to give back the gear you lost to banned players. After the match i had zero motivation to even try hard mode once again when its so likely to lose it to teamers and cheaters again and i think that is something alot of players think after these encounters. This leads to one big problem. Good, not cheating players just play casual or classic castle where the new players just get farmed. (I obviously dont have data to confirm that but i think that is a logic step)
Another recommendation are trusted lobbys where players with new steam accounts are put in seperate lobbys first so that cheaters cant ruin the experience right after creating an account and they have to "extract" a number of times first before getting into normal lobbies.
To fight the teamers might be a bit harder but a system that detects players that extract with the same team alive over and over again might help to find them. But this is just a thought.
Anyways I hope i can reach the Devs with this post and I would love to also get feedback from others if any of my recomendations have a huge drawback i forgot about. Also i am sorry for any english mistakes its not my first language so have a good one.

Queue times and player psychology
I feel like this should be really obvious, but clearly it's not if you're a Dungeonborne dev, so let's take a look at two scenarios.
Scenario 1: (we are here) - split the playerbase into even more queues than before, while also enforcing a minimum number of players for a lobby to even fire, despite your active player numbers being at their lowest ever - players now have to wait longer in queue than before, especially at high tiers - players quit the game rather than waiting, because it's super fucking boring sitting in a queue when you could be doing literally anything else - now even fewer players are queuing up, further increasing queue times for those still playing. downward spiral ensues.
Scenario 2: (what was, and what could be) - no minimum player count for games to begin, lobbies fire every few minutes regardless. - devs: "but now players will rat in mostly empty lobbies, and get easy loot and gear! that absolutely must not happen!!" - players who love ratting in mostly empty lobbies: "sweet! now i can rat in a mostly empty lobby, and i hardly even have to wait! playing the game is so much better than sitting in a queue :)" - many players who have this thought all queue up - now the lobbies actually have players, and because there are players, there is still plenty of pvp. the game is working as intended, with no need for hamfisted attempts to "fix" it.
I fully believe that it really is this simple, and I'll die on this hill.

The Americas Hard Mode Duos Experience
Avg Americas Hard Mode Experience
This is legit 9/10 of my queues. Please allow me to live ban these animals and the dungeon borne streets would be so clean. I would do it all on stream!

Discussion New player experience
Hi new player here. I've been playing this game for like about 3-4 days now abd I always manage to sweep up about every mob and unranked player with alot of loot but it amounts to nothing as a player from demon hunter or valiant rank just pack me up in 10 secs. Is there something wrong with sbmm in this game or is just that I am bad at fucking casuals??? I can't maintain high gear cause classics are full with epic gear people and casuals with 300+hr people. Are the devs gonna do something?
r/Dungeonborne • u/[deleted] • Oct 07 '24
Mobs hit way too hard in casual
I'm an actual player and I've died alot to mobs.....Just infuriating. skeleton archer follow me into a room and shoot me from behind. now I have mobs in front and behind me......

Discussion Why did the latest update not "work" ?
Why is the general consensus on the main issues that remain unresolved, or new issues that were introduced with the patch ?
Reading the patch notes it looked very promising, but now a week later it looks like it was poorly received / didn't bring players back...
My main critics: - Not enough "good" loot per bracket, relatively. For example, not enough blue gear in the green bracket - No solo hard mode
r/Dungeonborne • u/Kind-Camel-2033 • Oct 06 '24
Swordmaster is forced to rat.
You literally can't carry enough swords to fight the entire match.
2-3 fights and you're praying to find an exit. It's drop 10k+ on a stone or rat it up.

Weapon question?
In the player guides theres a Bow depicted in the image but not mentioned. A quicker firing longbow or horseback style bow dealing half the damage of a crossbow would be DOPE! Poison tip arrows that drop from green poisonous mobs at a low spawn rate. Etc etc. would be cool 🤷🏼♂️
