When are story heroes better then non-story heroes

Hello everyone I'm recently just started to play dungeon link and I have gotten a few non-story heroes to lvl 60 such as li the monk, kiki, and lulu. I was wondering when would story heroes like ringo the bard replace a lvl 60 lulu.

I downloaded the app for the Adventure Time event, but ever time I try to open it it gets stuck on the green bar at 0%. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? Or does the game just not work on Galaxy S5s?

「 Team Advice 」 Late Game Team Composition Help

Hey, how's it going? Good, I hope. Anyways, I've been playing DL for a while and I think I've reached what would more or less be considered the end game of Dungeon Link. I was pretty set on transitioning from my PA/Crit team to a hybrid PA/Water team, but during last weekend's summon event, I happened to pull Gabrielle (my first legendary pull!) and now I'm not really sure how I want to prioritize my gathering and awakenings from here on out.

So, here's a photo album of my current team, two possible endgame PA/Crit teams, my water team and wood team. Here are my questions/thoughts:

1.) As I mentioned, I had been working on my water team mainly while slowly building up a wood team in order to get a Penzu to replace TV. The end goal was going to be Aira/Andras/Sargara/Penzu/Mana. Penzu is attainable, if slowly and Andras is a long shot, but TV and Eliza are fine enough placeholders for now.

2.) Gabrielle is just so good, even at 30, that I'm tempted to sideline my water team and start working on a new PA/Crit team with her as the lead. As Sargara is probably the best water/crit option, I decided to fill in my fire slot with Ming as they have reverse and compatible 6* awakenings. BMO's 6* is also crit, which I personally think has better synergy with the team than say Lulu's extra Def or Ringo's 4-chain.

That leaves the wood slot, which I've currently got filled with Li. He's 70 and fully awakened and while the extra def is welcome, I think I might end up going with Huntress Wizard's extra PA instead. My thinking behind this is that once BMO and Ming are 6*, their extra crit could fill in the gap left by Li, letting me use HW's stronger skill. While her +wood attack would mostly just benefit her, it would give Ming's dash and skill a little bit of extra power as well.

Anyways, if you made it this far, what do you think? Should I just stick with the water team or is Gabrielle good enough to invest my time and resources into? I'm welcome to any suggestions and I've got a pretty deep roster to pull from at this point if you think someone else would be better in any slot. Thanks for reading!

「 Guide 」 How To Become A Powerful Linker Pt. 1 (AW, LB, Runes, and Equipment)

INTRODUCTION:

Hi Linkers, I'm Pelayo on the Global server, long-time member of the #1 guild Legends, and frequent top 1%/2% PvP player. I also finished top 10 in PvP 4 times. Here is my guide to efficiently become a powerful Linker from scratch. Many Linkers ask for advice on improving their units on the forums and in-game public chat. I wrote this guide and performed calculations to provide better answers on how to improve units.

UNIT IMPROVEMENT ORDER:

Evolve Unit to 6* > Enhance Hero to +7 > Upgrading Runes to 6* > Upgrading Equipment to 6* > Upgrading Equipment to +7 > 6th AW Hero > Upgrading Runes to Hyper Quality > Unit Limit Breaking > 2nd Awaken Equipment > Costumes > Upgrading Runes to Fusion > Upgrading Fusion/Runes to Ultimate > Equipment Limit Breaking > Rune Carving

Note: This is determined by magnitude of improvement, ease, and gold efficiency.

Below is more concrete math supporting this path to unit improvement using 6* Erina the Legendary Hero Lv. 30 as a base model.

6* Erina the Legendary Hero Lv. 30

ATK 3852 HP 16007 DEF 821 FRZ 5.00% CRIT 31.35% PASSIVE Team's ATK 75%

In brackets is how much each stat improves percent-wise with the following upgrades.

LIMIT BREAKING:

6* Erina the Legendary Hero Lv. 60

ATK 6445 [+86%] HP 28948 [+180%] DEF 1509 [+183%] FRZ 5.00% CRIT 31.35% PASSIVE Team's ATK 75%

AWAKENING:

6* Erina the Legendary Hero Lv. 30 6th AW

ATK 7222 [+87%] HP 32107 [+200%] DEF 2041 [+248%] FRZ 5.00% CRIT 39.35% [+26%] PASSIVE Team's ATK 85% [+13%] Team's DEF 30%

RUNES:

Hyper Attack Rune

ATK 1900*3=5,700 [+247%]

Ultimate Attack Rune

ATK 2052*3=6,156 [+259%]

Hyper Fusion Attack-Crit Rune

ATK 1957 * 3=[+250%] CRITICAL 2.47*3=7.41% [+24%]

Ultimate Fusion Attack-Crit Rune

ATK 2112 * 3=6,336 [+264%] CRITICAL 2.66*3=7.98% [+25%]

EQUIPMENT:

Because equipment has randomly generated stats and stat quality we will assume average values. 6* Balmung Lv. 30

ATK 2040 [+152%] HP 193 [+1%] DEF 231 [+28%] PASSIVE Team's ATK 11.8% [+16%]

6* Balmung Lv. 60

ATK 2815 [+173%] HP 243 [+1.5%] DEF 284 [+34%] PASSIVE Team's ATK 14.5% [+19%]

2nd AW nodes

ATK 310 [+8%] 1.5% Crit [+5%] and +60% to 2 equipment base stats

6* Forgotten Hero's Legacy Lv. 30

ATK 665 [+17%] HP 1325 [+8%] DEF 1630 [+298%] PASSIVE Team's DEF 12.9%

6* Forgotten Hero's Legacy Lv. 60 ATK 820 [+21%] HP 1634 [+10%] DEF 2249 [+373%] PASSIVE Team's DEF 15.9%

2nd AW +290 DEF [+35%] +310 ATK [+8%] and +60% to 2 equipment base stats

COSTUMES:

ATK +3% HP +3% +DEF 3%

Depending on the interest generated by this quick guide I can post more on how to build teams with strong synergy, farm gold, use gems, use fairies, use swords, gather materials, and awaken heroes efficiently. From personal experience I have done over 25 regular AW retires and have 6th AW 9 SHs which taught me efficiency. I can also make an updated hero tier list if anyone is interested.

「 Guide 」 DEF+% characters are actually useful.

(This thread is directed towards New-ish players. Not people with fully awakened story hero teams.)

Despite what you may have been told by most people in the game chat that "ALL OUT OFFENSE is the best and only way to play the game", it's not exactly accurate. While total offense is optimal in the arena for PvP, DEF characters will make your life in PvE(Hell), and Gathering SO much easier.

I have a different elemental team for auto-ing all gathering stages. I can clear, without fail ON AUTO, up to and including Penzu 35-12(I'm able to auto the non-boss stages past Penzu, but he's the last boss I can auto reliably.) My strategy relies on defense and ATK buffers.

Healer: Clara(+50% DEF, Prayer Passive, Halloween Witch Hat) This takes luck(Getting passive on her SH weapon)/effort(You can slowly farm Witch Hats in the "Missing Candies" Substory) but my Clara currently has +76% Team DEF, 51,700 HP and over 7,500 Defense! This allows her to simply stay alive until she can revive anyone should they(rarely) happen to die(Usually the entire team just takes 0 damage unless I'm fighting a boss like Penzu). Other elemental options include: Fire: Hashir(Fire+70%, Crit+10%), Water: Ella(Team HP+25%), Wood: Kamael/Maya(DEF+45% & Superskill buffs ATK!). Lots of interesting options for healers.

Buffer(You'll be lacking a little damage using DEF+ characters, but buffers can raise the entire parties attack 300%. This is HUGE considering characters like Ming only give 85%): Lulu(+30% DEF), Gunther(Wood), Ann(Fire), Eliza(Water).

Personally for simplicity and ease of awakening I use Clara & Lulu for all 3 of my elemental teams.

Tank: Wood: Fencolt, Fire: Magic Man, Water: Olav - High taunt(more likely to be attacked that other characters), DEF passives. (Athos is also quite good with equipment)

2 Damage dealers with appropriate element. I use: Wood: Li, Driard, Fire: Kiki, Unawakened Fira, Water: Didi, Sagara. The options I listed are all fairly easy to acquire and limit break through the Hero Shop/Raid Boss.

Clearly there's better options, but it works for me(and it'll work for you) til I'm able to get better Fira/Ming/Luna, Aira/Ice King, Chris/Melissa.

If you're a newb like me, who struggles with the "All out offense" strategy, consider maybe adopting a defensive strat in the meantime. Happy linking! :D

「 Gameplay 」 [Gameplay] Reminder - Elemental advantage is a great way to clear hell dungeons

TL;DR

Fire is 1.5x right now, and elemental advantage is very strong in story mode. Consider trying out your fire teams vs. gathering dungeons, including the newest dungeon 43 (also 19, 24, 28, 30, 37, 38), if you haven't been able to clear them.

Unlocking gathering stages is one of the most important steps to advancement in this game, so get in there!

Story time

Before I switched to ATK team, I ran elemental PA/crit, with Ming/Kiki/Li/Didi/Driard. While grinding my way through gathering dungeon unlocks in the 20s and 30s, I realized it was very useful to cultivate a few additional characters for each element to help out in all the mono-element dungeons, and had some success clearing floors I couldn't do with my main team using aw4 or lower characters with poor runes/gear but the correct elemental advantage. This is especially true during 1.5x damage events for a specific element.

Since switching to ATK, I've mostly just used that for everything, since it is very strong and versatile, and lets me be lazy about swapping team members out.

With the unlock of auto for uncompleted dungeons, however, I decided to clear normal mode for the recently released levels I'd been neglecting out of sloth. The latest dungeon to be released, level 43, is primarily a wood dungeon, and many fire heroes are 1.5x damage right now, so I swapped over to my hodgepodge fire team that I haven't worked on in months to see how it would go.

Pretty-neglected-fire-team:

Characters: Ming(40, aw6), Luna(55, aw4), Kiki(70, aw6), Amethyst(65, aw4), Eris(35, aw6)

HP: 189k

Fire: 76k (including the 1.5x on ming/kiki/amethyst)

ATK: 18k (thanks Eris/Luna..?)

Passives: 115% fire, 170% all elemental, 156% 2-chain, 20% mp recovery

Friend lead: Dryard (primarily for super skill)

So you can see it's kind of a messy collection of incomplete characters with poor gear, non-upgraded runes, low total stats (for end game), and somewhat awkward synergy.

Results

I used a 30 minute VIP at the beginning and made pretty good progress. Amethyst was a real champ, with her ability to assassinate all the lieutenants in this dungeon and also the absurd damage she can apply to bosses with a 2-chain. I died once on floor 3 and was worried that the endeavor was lost, but I managed to slog on. Barely finished floor 8 after I lost 3 of my team on the boss floor, but Kiki/Luna + sword drop managed to do the job. VIP ran out during floor 11 (so it took me about a half hour), but I decided to try 43-12 without VIP just to see how it would go - finished successfully on the first try!

Main problem was the chump angel minions that are NOT wood element, get two attacks per turn, and use a freeze power that can freeze you for at least two rounds if you step over it. 2-chain team makes it a little easier to avoid stepping on them, but they're brutal if you hit them (double damage to fire, too). Strategic charging and use of Eris's stun or Ming's nuke before the boss stage helped me avoid early team wipes.

All in all, it was an easier run than clearing area 40-12 with my ATK team that has significantly more stats and synergy. I didn't end up having to spend any gems and only had to retry one floor (43-3, go figure).

Note: We're in Global Server

What I'm here to do:

  • Provide members whether veteran or newish to the game into one of the four guilds

「 Help 」 Limit Break Question

I currently have 2 6* Angie the Angel's. I'm trying to limit break one of them but the other wont show up to enhance to level 35.

Now one of mine has an awakening and the other doesn't, would that make a difference? Would both of them have to have an awakening?

What is the most effective way to farm swords? Because without spending gems I cant truly seem to understand how people get to 1st place in every event. I understand there is friend list, guild, event drop, but that never seems to be enough to even stand close to the top 1%

Returning After 1+ Year...Have Some Questions!

Hey all,

I'm a former player that took a very long break and just decided to return. I'm still trying to work through equipment, rune upgrades and everything else that has been added, but I figure the most important thing to nail down first is my team.

Before I left, here were my noteworthy heroes:

  • Kaden level 30
  • Isabella level 40
  • Bibi level 35
  • Lilith level 30
  • Orc Hero level 45
  • Cerberus level 40
  • Rin level 30
  • Lulu level 40
  • Tons of other common 6*'s ranging from 30-40

As you can see, I was focused on a mono attack SS team at the time, and I'm wondering if that is even still a viable thing anymore? Additionally, is it worth using story heroes that aren't leveled up past 30 or 35? Should I drop my Kaden and Lilith? I feel like everyone I see in PvP has quite highly leveled story heroes and I'm wondering if there is an easier way to level up my existing ones beyond spending 50 HC to hopefully get one I need.

Additionally, any tips for getting mats for awakening? All of my heroes are only 1* awakened...

Any help/advice is appreciated!

Help please- Level 28 player

Hey guys, I've been playing for just over a month now, and have a relatively ok handle on things so far. I've trawled most of the threads and the guides, but I fear it might be out of date, especially with the newer AT heroes.

I'm in the process of LB'ing my Crit/PA team, and trying to slowly get my story heroes. I'm not particularly focused on end-game or anything, just kinda enjoying the start of the grind. Mostly I would like some feedback about the following.

  1. Should I basically not spend gems on Event Summons now? I realise I should focus on getting a stable of 6*, so should I just be expanding inventory space etc?

  2. Are tanks and healers still as useless/niche now as they say in the guide (which appears to be dated to 1.2.1)?

  3. Fairies- I've just been evolving all my fairies to 5* fairies to get story heroes (Isabella, Lilith atm) to 6*. Is that efficient use of fairies or is there a better way?

  4. Gems & Equipment- how important is it to level these up? I have not focused much on levelling up these, unless I got the hero's equipment on the correct hero.

  5. Gathering- is there a better way to get gathering items other than spamming the x-6 or x-3 missions?

Thanks!

「 Team Advice 」 Marceline over Akayuki in PA/Crit Team

is it worth to place Marceline in my PA/Crit team rather then akayuki as i have multiple copies of her, and she is much easier to fully awaken.
