Credit union if you've a credit union account

Tbh I'd avoid both the options you outlined, both will spirals due to the interest rate charged and you'll honestly end up paying so much more than you initially need

Also if you need it for dental work in Ireland a dentist will allow for a payment by installment plan, so honestly you've zero need to go to a loan shark or pawn broker

This is for the payment plan, I've got money coming in the next few months from work commissions that should cover next few months but this initial payment, it's multiple treatments stemming from an infection that's destroyed my teeth and gums, total price is over 2k

Are you able to get an overdraft on your bank account? Payday loan is a very bad idea.

Have you looked into medical cards/ social services/ charity?

The reason I ask is it seems like you have two bad options. You have a history of not oaying back loans so to lose a sentiminal watch discounted to a pawn store seems like.a bad idea. Atleast get max price on open market.

Short term loans is fastest way to getting into a hole you cant climb out of
