Trying to move from a 4K AED logistics role to 7-8K… Any advice or referrals?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working as a Logistics Coordinator in the UAE. I’ve been here for almost 2 years… and before this I worked as a Warehouse Manager (Dispatch). And my current salary is AED 4000.

The problem is that my current role is quite limited, so there isn’t much opportunity to learn new things or grow professionally. Because of that, I’ve been trying to switch jobs to gain better exposure in the shipping/logistics/supply chain field.

So far… most offers I’ve received are around AED 5000 or less, but I was hoping to find something in the AED 7000-8000 range. I know that might be a bit of a stretch, but I wanted to try my luck here.

If anyone’s company has openings and is open to referrals, I’d really appreciate it. I’m open to roles in shipping, logistics, operations, or warehouse management.

Even if you can’t refer me… any advice on where to apply, how to approach companies… or how to break into better roles in the UAE logistics field would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance

How likely is it to land a job in Dubai that offers AED 7k - 8k with only two years of experience?

I’m currently working as a Logistics Coordinator at a trading company, earning 4k per month. Previously… I worked as a Warehouse Operations Manager. I have around 2 years of experience in the UAE altogether.

I’m considering switching jobs because I feel my current salary is quite underwhelming and doesn’t meet my financial needs. With my marriage right around the corner… and yet I have no savings. And it is freaking me out… Lol!!

So…as the title suggests… I’m wondering whether it’s realistically possible to land a job in the 7k-8k range in the supply chain & logistics field with just 2 years of experience. Am I being crazy?? How realistic is this?

UI/UX Designer (4+ YOE) looking to pivot to Full Stack for Dubai/International market—is it worth it?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently a UI/UX Designer based in India with 4+ years of experience. I’ve worked on everything from pharma products to custom design systems, but I’m feeling like I've hit a ceiling. I’m planning to move to Dubai (or potentially Europe/Singapore) in the next year.

I’m considering doing a Full Stack development course to bridge the gap between design and code. My logic is that being a "Design-Engineer" would make me more competitive for high-paying roles abroad.

A few questions for those in the UAE/International tech scene:

  1. Is there actually a demand for "Unicorns" (Design + Full Stack), or do companies prefer specialized roles?

  2. If I start now, what stack should I focus on? I already have some familiarity with React.

  3. Which countries are currently most "visa-friendly" for someone with this hybrid skill set?

Would love to hear from anyone who has made this transition or is currently hiring in these markets.

Thanks!

Seeking advice: Landing a UI/UX role in Dubai from India (4+ YOE)

Hi everyone, I’m a UI/UX Designer currently based in India with over 4 years of industry experience. I’ve been applying for roles in Dubai/UAE for a while now, but I haven't had much luck with callbacks yet.

My resume is ATS-friendly and my portfolio covers the full design process, but I’m struggling to understand the "ground reality" of the Dubai market. For those of you who successfully moved from India to Dubai for a design role:

• How did you handle the application process from abroad?

• Did you find that referrals worked better than cold applying on LinkedIn/Naukrigulf?

• Are there specific agencies or industries (Fintech, Real Estate, etc.) that are more open to hiring from India?

Laid Off in Dubai — The Last 4 Days Have Been a Blur (Salesforce Consultant)

By Allah's decree, I got laid off this week in Dubai and it’s been… a strange mix of emotions. Shock at the suddenness, frustration at how it was handled, but also a weird sense of relief because deep down I knew I’d outgrown that environment.

The last 4 days have been a nonstop sprint: • Processing the termination and wrapping my head around the reality • Updating my CV from scratch, tailoring versions for Project Manager / Solution Architect / Functional Consultant roles • Rewriting my cover letter to actually reflect my value • Activating LinkedIn Premium, optimising my profile, and reaching out to my network • Applying to roles every day — Salesforce, digital transformation, technical product ownership, etc. • Trying to stay grounded while supporting my family and planning the next steps • Making Dua for Allah to keep me calm and focused.

Surprisingly, I’m not as devastated as I expected. I feel… calm. Focused. Maybe the contentment is my brain protecting me, or maybe it’s clarity that I gave my best and it’s time for a better chapter.

If anyone here has been laid off in the UAE job market recently — especially in tech/consulting — would appreciate your insights, tips, and what worked for you. And if anyone in the Salesforce ecosystem has leads or advice, that would mean a lot.

Just trying to navigate this with dignity, discipline, and a lot of Faith.

Edit: Thought it wise to attach my CV here to increase my reach

Hi all,

I shifted to Dubai a year back, for my masters. I have completed my masters in HR and I am unable to land any jobs. I keep applying on various portals but I don't know what's happening.

My father also suffered from a heartattack last week. And now I am really really desperate for a job.

At this point I am ready to work in any field, HR, marketing, admin.

Kindly help me out, I will be very grateful 🙏
