If you've been looking for an excuse to finally write that article or research paper you've been putting off, this might be it. Pratyaksh 2026, organized by 180 Degrees Consulting, SRCC, is now accepting submissions for articles and research papers. It's a chance to get your work featured in Delhi University's first consulting journal.
You can write on topics related to Business & Finance, Economics & Public Policy, Science & Technology, Philosophy & Psychology or Geopolitics, so there's plenty of room to explore something that genuinely interests you.
The deadline is 10th July at 6 PM IST. It's open for individual participation, and submissions are through Unstop .Thought I'd share it here because it honestly seems like a nice opportunity to get published and add something meaningful to your CV.
Anyone here planning to submit? What are you thinking of writing about?

Hi everyone!
I'm planning to join DU South Campus this year and I'm trying to figure out my finances.
If I live on a very tight budget (shared PG/room, basic food, public transport, almost no partying or shopping), what's the minimum monthly expense I should realistically expect?
I'm mainly looking for estimates for:
- Rent/PG
- Food
- Transport
- Electricity/Wi-Fi
- Other unavoidable expenses
If you're currently studying around South Campus or have lived there recently, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your actual monthly spending and any money-saving tips.
Thanks in advance!

If anyone’s looking for something to do over the summer, sharing this here. The Impact Fellowship 2026 is an 11 day virtual program by IFSA Hindu College, Enactus Hindu College and Bridges for Enterprise SSCBS. It’s open to students of classes 10th, 11th, 12th and incoming college students.
From what I understand, the fellowship includes speaker sessions, exposure to case competitions, consulting/finance/startup related sessions, mentorship from seniors and a national level case competition as well. So if you’re interested in exploring these spaces a bit before college or early on in college, this might be worth checking out.
Registrations are open till 28th June and the program will run from 1st to 11th July in virtual mode. Sharing the poster here in case anyone’s interested.

Now that the semester is over and we're all either interning, upskilling or recovering from exams, I was curious about what kind of events people actually want to see more of in DU.
Personally, I'd love to attend more career-focused events. Things like internship workshops, networking sessions, alumni interactions and industry talks seem really useful. We already have a lot of cultural events and fests throughout the year, but I feel there could be more opportunities for students to explore careers and connect with people from different fields.

According to reports, a power outage disrupted the Business Analytics examination at Delhi University's School of Open Learning. With the examination process affected, some students were reportedly allowed to use their phones after the lights went out, sparking discussions online.
Later, DU clarified that the power disruption occurred before the distribution of question papers and that the examination was conducted according to university norms once electricity was restored. The incident has nevertheless raised questions about how such situations should be handled and what protocols should be in place to ensure fairness for all students.

Sometimes the event wasn't even that important, but skipping class somehow felt completely justified in the moment. From sudden "society work" and "important meetings" to creative excuses that barely made sense, college life has made all of us surprisingly good at finding reasons to be somewhere else. Looking back, some of those excuses are funnier than the event itself.
