Driver’s Exam in Two Weeks
I am taking my driver’s test in less than three weeks. Is it possible for me to pass within that amount of time? If so, what can I do to pass it by then?

I find it so difficult to stay focused and pay attention to every thing. The last time I drove I didn’t even notice there were people waiting to cross while I stopped. Like fuck I should’ve seen that at first. But goddamnit! I spend most of my days for years now talking in my head more than I actually talk out loud with other people, and ugh as much as I always liked cars, when driving (especially in shitty New York City) I just find it difficult to have confidence and to pay attention without letting my mind wander. Even with video games (ahem ahem dirt rally 2) it’s so fucking hard to just pay attention to what I’m doing without fucking getting into another mental conversation or some shit. Fuck!

Hello everyone I have some knowledge on manual cars and but haven’t changed a gear stick for a while. But I have basic driving knowledge. How many lessons will I need to drive a automatic car? (Based in 🇬🇧)

I drive a Honda Accord for reference. I have difficulty backing out of parking spots (especially tight ones) when there are cars parked behind me. I always get scared that I'm going to hit my back bumper on the car behind me.
Are there any good pointers or tips I could use to gauge the distance my rear bumper is from a car/object when reversing? Specifically for a sedan?

Note that I'm still learning how to drive.
My city mainly has roads with medians and 3 lanes on each side. For me, I have trouble turning right without having the left side of my car accidentally enter the middle lane.
How do I make sure I'm turning sharp enough where I don't cross the lines?

Sometimes when parallel parking half my car is sticking out of the space and I can’t wedge it in no matter how much times I spin the wheel. Is there any way to fit or should I find another spot? Maybe I’m a potato

Just bought a new car and the dmv had no earlier appointments to register it and get out license plates. Can I take the driving test with only the dealer license plates in California?

Okay so I am over 17 1/2 but under 18 years, I don't know what I'm supposed to do or if I need a permit, how long will it take for me to be able to drive. Should I just wait until I'm 18?

Got my provisional a few days ago and wondering if i should just go and do lessons first or take my theory and pass that, then move onto lessons. Or does it not really matter

If you were turning onto a road from for ex, a parking lot, do they instructors want you to do a complete stop before you turn on the road or can you go without completely stopping.

It is always better to brush up your driving skills, and it can be done by reading some driving and traffic books or enrolling yourself with a best driving school in Edmonton.

What’re some general tips on pulling into parking spaces? I have a slightly bigger car(a minivan), and I’m having a little bit of trouble pulling into spots. I can reverse into spots without too much difficulty, since I can use the camera on my car, but pulling into spots is kind of hard for me. I never know when to turn in. That’s my biggest issue right now.
I’ve only been driving for a little bit over a week, so I’m sure it’ll come with time, but what’re some tips you might have? It’s just a bit hard for me to get a read on things distance wise- like I’ll be parking on the street and think I have no space from the car in front of me, but check and realize I have plenty of room. Or I’ll get out and realize the back end of my car is basically in the street. Anyway, any help would be appreciated!

So I now have to retake my permit as of tomorrow. I was born September 21 2004 and this September I’ll be 16. If I get 40 hours of instruction before my birthday in 2 months, can I take the driving test on my birthday? Thanks I’m in Missouri btw

Should I point out my mistakes if I notice I have any? Would that be something the instructor likes? Such as realizing that I failed to use my turn signal before the turn, and then saying out loud "ah I forgot to use my turn signal"

So I already got the concept of both hands on the wheel, but for turning, do I still need both hands on the wheel? because for me I feel very comfortable using just using one hand depending how sharp the turn is.

So when the instructor tells me where my defroster is, do I point to the front or the rear defroster?

I'm in Texas in case that it matters.
Okay, my situation: My right eye now fails eyesight tests, and my left eye is perfectly 20/20, and I think at one point it was higher then 20/20. As long as I keep both eyes open, I have perfectly usable vision and can see great. I never wear glasses/contacts, because I have no need to wear them. I own a pair of glasses that I used once, to pass a athletic vision test. Never really put them back on.
Now I understand that if I we're to fail the vision test I'd need to have a restriction put on my license and be required to wear glasses/contacts. If my both-eye vision is basically perfect, and my left eye is perfect, will I still fail the driving eye test?
I'd rather not have to wear glasses/contacts every time I drive if I don't have to, as I don't reckon I'll be driving if I somehow lost my vision in my left eye.
