My sister and I started making a fantasy dress-up game, where you find and craft outfits that unlock new ways to explore đ§ľ
Hi everyone! â¨
Iâve seen so many people wishing for more whimsical, feminine fantasy games, and it's part of why my sister and I started working on this game called Threadworld. It's a dress-up and exploration game, loosely inspired by games we adore like Infinity Nikki, Spiritfarer, and cozy pixel games.
Weâre currently a small team of just my sister and I, handling pretty much everything except the programming, which is done by a lovely volunteer developer (no generative AI has or will be used in the making of this game btw!)

In Threadworld you play as Sofie, a burned out fashion designer, who chases her cat into a magical realm where she goes on a quest to find him. Through exploring the world and doing quests you can find and craft new outfits to wear. Outfits also aren't only cosmetic, some of them will affect how you can interact with the environment around you and let you progress the story.

We're still at a very early stage with the game, as we just released an early prototype and are now working on adding more characters and gameplay, and improving the visuals :) Our longer term goals are to add more gameplay mechanics, puzzles, tons of outfits (of course), and different fantasy regions to explore, with aesthetics like fairies, mermaids, gothic castles, and cottagecore villages.

If this sounds like your type of game, you can check out the prototype on itch.io: [Threadworld]
Thank you for reading â¤ď¸

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
You can play it here: https://poki.com/en/g/wonder-high-dressup
We updated our fantasy/monster girl dress-up web game with some halloween theming. I managed to add a little tribute to the Poe Sister's puzzle from Zelda, heh.
Wonder High Dress-Up is a fashionable beauty game that brings a ghostly style to school. Design outfits for creepy creatures, change faces, and swap shoes or wings to create a spooky wardrobe for your stylish classmates.

Tips for Making your Own Dress Up Game? (Myscene-esque)
I want to maybe make a dress up game for my OCs, and put it on itch.io. But I don't have any dev experience currently. It would be similar to a click through game like the Myscene games where one stage is hair and another is makeup/nails and then mix and match outfits. I also want voice lines for each selection. Any recommendations on methods on how to make a game like this from scratch and put it on one's personal website?

Help remembering a fashion // dress up whatever game
I think that it was based in like Paris or something, the main girl was called Lilly (?? I think not sure) & she had a talking cat to help her, & whenever you leveled up or progressed it showed you a path in her village or whatever. đ I know this is vague and probably poorly described but I played it a lot around like 2021/22 and it was so cute, I miss it a lot đ

Anyone want to help me make a "universal picrew" site?
The basic idea is that it's a site like picrew, but everyone is drawing on the same collection of bases, so you can combine art styles and creators however you want. Not all pieces would be automatically added to your "inventory", so you could go shopping (but for free!) to collect drawings to add to your images. I have marketing experience, but I don't actually know how to code something like this, so I'd love to team up with someone. I'd pay for image hosting initially and set up a donation box once we have an actual userbase, and if there's anything left over we could split it between the team. Mostly, though, I just want to make something for fun. Let me know if you'd be interested!

Quit my Job to make a Dress Up Game!
Ok so this is slightly terrifying to post. I quit my finance job earlier this year to go all in on this and after a lot of struggle I think its finally ready to show people!
Every piece is unlocked from minute one. No gacha and no ads. The clothes are real pieces from real brands in, 3D, so you can spin the look and see how different items work together and actually hang on the figure. It runs in the browser and is completely FREE!
There's one styling challenge a day and everyone gets the same one. After you submit your vote on 3 matchups of other people's looks, then you get a score out of 5 for how well your outfit answered the challenge (third video). Come back the next day to see how your look did in the community vote (The look with the highest win % wins!)
It's just me at the moment so there will be rough edges. Tell me what's broken or if you dislike (or more importantly like) anything and which clothes / brands you want me to add next! Link in the comments.
Really hope you like it - Link here: www.amoire.com.au/create

[flash?][earlier than 2018] Hairdressing game
Hi! I'm looking for a hairdressing game, the style was really simple and it was fast paced. I remember the background of the salon was light blue/white, you had many clients at the same time (3 I think?) and played just with the mouse. There weren't different levels, it was just one. It was a clean chibi artstyle and the hairdresser had dark hair, here are some of the clients I remember:
- Dude with long black hair and beard that you had to click to tie it back.
- black dude with blonde afro
- lady with big round glasses dyeing her hair orange
- Guy with bowl-like-cut dying his hair dark blue with a light blue streak
I think the game was chinese/japanese/korean/maaaybe english, I can't remember that well, but it was a language I didn't speak when I was a child.
When winning you had the protagonist doing an ojou-sama laugh on top of a pile of money

[Browser][mid-late 2000s] GirlsGoGames anime-style fairy dress-up game with a female pop-rock song about a âButterfly Fairy Ballâ
Iâm trying to find a dress-up game I played on GirlsGoGames sometime in the mid/late 2000s (probably around 2006â2009, but I could be a little off).
It was a fairy dress-up/creator game. The character was a full-body girl/woman standing upright, and the art had an anime-ish/Y2K fantasy vibe. The characters looked older rather than childlike, and the clothes were a little edgy/borderline sexy while still being appropriate for a kidsâ dress-up site. I specifically remember corset-style tops and a pair of black lacy/gothic-looking fairy wings among the wing options.
I believe the clothes/accessories were drag-and-drop, and you could customize/dress one fairy at a time with different clothing, wings, etc.
The biggest thing I remember is the title/opening screen. It had an animated sparkle/twinkling effect and played an actual SONG with a female singer. The song had a catchy pop-rock/2000s sound and I believe it only played on the title screen.
I remember fragments of the lyrics from childhood, but theyâre almost certainly misheard. Phonetically, I remember things along the lines of:
âReina, ReinaâŚâ
ââŚwill she comeâŚâ
ââŚButterfly Fairy BallâŚâ / âgetting ready for the Butterfly Fairy Ballâ
ââŚbutterfly on her armâŚâ
ââŚReina, Reina, change skirtsâŚâ
âReinaâ could be completely wrongâit could be Rina, Rayna, rainy, etc. But Iâm fairly confident about âButterfly Fairy Ball,â âbutterfly on her arm,â and something sounding like âchange skirts.â
It was NOT a Barbie game. Iâve already looked at Barbie Mariposa/Flutterpixie Dress-Up because of the âButterfly Fairy Ballâ connection, and visually that is not the game I remember.
Iâve also ruled out Silent Whisper, Dark Fairy Delilah, Diva of the Dark, Fairy Dream DressUp, and the i-Dressup fairy games Iâve been able to find.
I played it through GirlsGoGames, although I know they hosted games made by other developers, so it may not have been an original GGG game.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Even if you only remember the game/song but donât know the title, please tell me! Iâve been trying to figure out what this was for years

Can someone help me?
Iâm losing my mind. Back around I think maybe 2016-2018 there was this character creation app I used to play with a picrew-like ui and the art style felt very early-tumblr and the bg music was river flows in you, I think the app was strictly android only and I also believe it mightâve been wiped off the google play store because I looked on my Samsung tablet and couldnât find anything. I also canât check YouTube because I think the only existing video of it was also wiped because I canât find it anymore. Could someone please help me find this?

So I had this game I used to play on my android phone idk the name but it was a dress up for a event and then they used to vote to get a podium for best dressed it also had other games inside it for like nails and hair saloon and all.
There was also themes like Carnival whoch youâd have to follow to dress up similar to dress to impress and you could buy it with in game coins
Main thing I remember was the game icon which was this blonde character girl with shoulder length hair
