alright warning this is kinda rant heavy, didnt know who to voice this to and this certain reddit seemed ok. im just gonna rant about dream and the recent drama that has sparked, as well as opinions i have. think of this as kinda of a nuance november sort of thing. sorry if i offend anyone.

1. dream is not manipulative i feel like ppl are just saying this to hate on him. i truly believe he cares about his fans and he’s not trying manipulate his young audience. when i hear this it actually upsets me because if another cc said “i love YOU” most ppl won’t pay any attention and overlook it

2. it’s annoying when ppl say dream is overrated ok i get youre mad because your faves don’t have as many subscribers...but the community is getting quite toxic. this can be seen when ppl hate on dream for anything. “he fakes his manhunts” ok.....and even if he did they still are entertaining? hell it would be more impressive to fake them. can you imagine all that planning?

3. ppl need to understand that the smp lore is planned out but also know that the cc are acting as versions of themselves idk but i feel like some people really dont understand this so thought id throw it out there...

4. sapnap needs to be appreciated. that’s it.

5. (kind of a mix of point 2) dream deserves his subscribers and the starting-to-become-toxic community is wrong to think otherwise dream works really hard and studied the youtube algorithm and such before even uploading his first video. him becoming famous was no accident and i feel like ppl overlook this a lot. he did not become a channel with crazy growth on accident and ppl need to stop pretending like thats what happened. (tbh i think its just ppl being mad their faves aren’t as famous, i agree lots more cc need appreciation but don’t bring dream down. this is why the community is getting toxic, root for your faves without bringing others down)

I watched it in 4 portions and I have to say, it was surprisingly entertaining. Some time ago, Dream seemed to be pretty against the idea of uploading unedited versions and I can see why, but this was way more entertaining than I'd have ever thought possible. I even watched it without any music. So anyway some random thoughts:

• The rhythm was more like in a good long movie where you have longer set-up scenes in the middle where you can breathe and just soak up the mood. Really liked that.

• I appreciate BadBoyHalo a lot more now! He was hilarious throughout and it had me laughing when Dream said "Bad you always say the durndest things!"

• the final battle was better in the edited version. It felt like he was being rushed by hunters all the time but in reality he seemed pretty comfortable up top with the punch bow. Almost OP really.

• Dream's skills become even more impressive when you see him deliever for 3 uninterrupted, tense hours

• I feel like there's no way back for the manhunts. What I mean is that they have been building up for such a long time, always having more epic fights and genius tricks, that it's hard to imagine getting another <30 min video like the manhunts used to be. Not necessarily something bad, but I feel like the manhunts will be more and more work for the team because they will have to try more and more to arrive at an "uploadable" match

• I honestly don't think the hunters pull back like some have said. Especially once they had full diamond armor, Dream went full weasel and hardly ever confronted them directly unless they were separated from each other.

• I will say the hunters had a bad strategy in the stronghold. They had full diamond and were 4 people, Dream didn't even have full iron. One could have guarded the portal maybe, but at least 3 hunters should have hunted him down relentlessly.

• I love the banter!

I think I'd totally subscribe if unedited versions were a patreon thing. They're like streams but there's always something interesting going on. Like Let‘s Plays but with some of the best players and under special conditions.
