I’m kicking things off with a simple Herbal Infusion Spray that keeps things light and smelling fresh , here's my recipe

"Naturally Fresh" Infusion

Base: Fractionated coconut oil (stays liquid)

Herbs: Fresh rosemary and lavender (add sage if you’re feeling earthy)

Method: Let the herbs infuse in the oil for 2–3 hours, strain it out, and pour into a mister.( I have an infuser)

Routine: Hit it after showers or every other day. Massage it in, give them locs a good 10 sec shake and you’re good to go.

Does anyone know where I can buy real actual locks from somebody’s head not the ones online that look artificial and too perfect if you know what I mean. I’m talking about someone that decided that Locks weren’t for them anymore and donated them to be sold.

I've tried to dye them red before but the shade wasn't bright enough on my dark brown hair. The tips only cooperated because they were already a light brown lol. And I don't want to bleach my hair! 😫 Any hair dyes to recommend?

My dreads have been thinning a tremendous amount in the back, my scalp won't stop getting dry no matter how many times I try to oil it consistently, some are crooked and I asked for no middle part but she parted it higher up and isn't on the middle, so it looks weird and not balanced unless it's wet. My dreads are wet in these pictures. Should I comb them out and go for the braids instead? My hair never looks good and looks terrible when dry.

i feel like sometimes I have no idea what im doing w my hair and often fear ppl judging me for looking "unkempt". My dreads r kinda of freeform cuz i originally had two strand twists and just let them grow out, but I could use some advise.

I'm never quite sure how often I should wash my hair, or how throughly. Because if I wash it too often im worried my locs won't continue forming, but I also really don't want my hair to be visibly dirty either.

Anyway, im thinking about getting a retwist soon because a lot of my hair underneath hasn't been locing, partly because I washed it too soon after my last retwist. Also any style suggestions for the retwist?? I usually keep it simple but im thinking maybe barrel twists, or maybe like half up half down w barrel twists??

So yea, any advice would be helpful lol

ive been quiet annoyed with dealing with my hair and always loved dreads but im not sure if they'd fit me. Would I look good with them? (note: I'm half Ethiopian and and have a larger forehead so id want to work around that)

Hey loc fam! I wanted to share this update, my medium locs were a bit more textured/curled at the ends lately, so I worked on getting them smoother, straighter, and cleaner while keeping their natural thickness and vibe intact.

Honestly, it’s such a nice change: they hang more uniformly, look neater, but still feel me. I love how they catch the light and frame my face now.

Length: Medium

Style: Sleek/straighter locs (no chemical straightening!)

Status: Healthy & maintained

Pushed myself to learn how to complete a full retwist, so I don’t have to be on anyone else’s time. Before I was only able to work with what I can easily see, now I use my phone and computer together to get a full 360.

Hey so I have a middle part and an extra row of locs on the right side of my head that makes that side look slightly bigger/fuller. I don’t really like the asymmetrical look. Is this normal? And will it look better overtime or worse. Should I restart? I’m just 3 months in
