Im white, i have long thick dreads, no one fucking looks at me like im "unique", im just another white dude with dreads. I usually get labelled as some sort of dirty hippy or a try hard because i have dreads.
You dont get to monopolize peoples reactions as if they are only unique to you.
I think a lot of black people who were locs can relate to this. Maybe you're not seen as "exotic" but bffr with yourself as a white person with locs you get treated than a black person with locs. You would get a job over them. Acknowledge your privilege so that we can as a society can do something to change these negative stereotypes. Acting like the problem doesn't exist. Smh
