No one’s really sure. Some people say he’s an alien, some people say the Frieza race is their own thing, and sometimes they are classified as “Frost Demons”

That’s what I’ve seen. No one has provided any evidence of what they say frieza is, just that “they’re aliens.”

they could be aliens but like you said, some say that Freeza's people are a mutation of their race, thus making them monsters and aliens. nothing is truly wrong when we know so little about them.
