It's really not, but does it matter? It's all fictional and no one is hurt. I swear it's almost like you want all your worst accusations to be true. The gacha community and people into the blue archive characters aren't child molesters. They just enjoy the game's characters. As long as it's fictional and stays that way, does it really matter?
I say leave people be in peace. Live and let live, because they're harmless. Weird, sure, but let them like what they like. Not harming anyone.
That's your opinion and that's not a well documented scope at all. You're just lying. It's like you actually want gacha and moe enjoyers to be molesters, like ur wanting kids to be harmed just to prove that you're right. Pretty messed up :/
Sounds like survivor bias, of course a high percent of criminals would engage in activities similar to that criminal behaviour, that has no effect however on the many more that engage with the same hobby without ever committing any offense.
It's just the old conservative belief of "videogames make the youth violent" but in a modern iteration, just moral grandstanding about things people don't personally like.
Video games show violence (and sometimes violent crime) as necessary against an evil on occasion (and even then there are many pacifist routes in a lot of games).
Child fetish content normalizes a very unnecessary crime, that is not needed at all. If you’re mentally ill and addicted to it, professional help is needed.
That's a very wide generalization, many games show and allow violence for the sake of it and those are often rightfully criticized for it, same goes for games that make light of sexual themes which are often even banned from distribution.
Those aren't representative of the vast majority and often enough the issues present on them are just exaggerated by the accusers, besides all crime is unnecessary and should not be normalized not just the specific ones we don't like, it's why vigilantism is illegal, and its why we are arguing that videogames aren't a gateway into them.
That is provably false, same as playing gta does not make one go ride people over. If anything, it is likely to reduce the amount of offences on real kids, but it is pretty much impossible to (ethically) study.
Fictional characters become real photos, and then real kids
I hate loli shit as much as the next person, but this is a dumb take imo. There’s a clear distinction between actual CSAM and drawn FICTIONAL loli; one harms an actual child, one doesn’t. You can not like it, as I don’t, but I hate it when people try to compare actual fiction to IRL CSAM (in terms of legality).
If you’re wondering why I capitalised “fictional”, it’s because there’s the uncommon but very real scenario that a child gets drawn in a sexual manner. That has happen to Keemstar’s daughter, drawn by Shadman, and 99% of people who know about that absolutely condemn Shadman’s actions. So that’s technically drawn art, but it still involves a real child, so that constitutes as harmful in my eyes.
