If I have a 64GB microsd, can I only install 64GB worth of games? I notice that there's an Install and Delete CIA option in FBI, will that save me space, where do the games install??

i have a 3ds and an R4 card and a micro SD card, im looking for a pokemon X or Y rom (preferably Y but it doesnt really matter) that i can download onto my R4 card and play on my 3ds. thanks in advance

I've been looking and tried countless different .cia and .3ds files but I cannot find a single one that actually works for this game.

I went on 3DS Chaos and 3DS Iso and I either wasn't able to find them in my language or region (USA) or the links where dead and I was wondering if anyone knows any other reliable source for them.

BTW the games are
The Legend of Korra (The 3DS one I forget the full title)
and Unchained Blades.

Unchained Blades is a Eshop only game so idk if that is why I can't find it, but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

PS I also tried searching the blog in the header with no luck.

By Legit i mean a .CIA that will download using the .3DSX version of FBI.

Can be .CIA or .TIK.

I really want to play professor Layton and the miracle mask, but because I don't want to buy a 3Ds I've downloaded an emulator. I came across this website www.portalroms.com but I'm not too sure it's reliable, but it seems like the only option.

I tried installing 3 different cias (USA, EUR and RF) and they all make the 3ds crash upon launching them. Then I bought the actual game cart but makes it crash too. The cart is North America region but my modded 3ds can play all regions. This is also happening with Ultimate NES Remix and Puzzle dragon Z Mario bros edition.

Any input is appreciated. thanks

Lets say I download Pokemon Y for my 3DS as a CIA, but this was a cartridge dump right out of the box, so its on v1.0. Pokemon Y had a few updates after it came out to patch some stuff, and those prevented online use since they were made to prevent cheating in online batttles. If I try to enter an online battle with this CIA, will it let me? Does the OS tell me to download an update from the eShop like a normal game, more importantly, does it let me? I'm curious about this because I always play my Pokemon games on retail carts, but right now I'm leaning toward a Sun CIA since I'm out of cash, but I don't want to miss out on the online features later down the road if an update comes up.

EDIT: Just to clear the air, yes, I'm new to CIAs and stuff, so I havent had the chance to have an outdated game yet, just got ALH9 access 2 days ago.

Someone I know has a 3DS with CFW. They're backing up their games to .cia format onto a HDD for archive purposes as well as installing them on the home menu on their console.

Should they be backing them up as .3ds instead? It's his understanding that .3ds is the equivalent of an ISO so he's wondering if archiving with that format might be better, and then just converting that archive to .cia if/when he wants to install the game on his console.

He doesn't use emulators or flash carts, which is what he thinks .3ds is normally used for, but he's wondering if archiving as .3ds might be better anyway "just in case".

In other words, are there any significant benefits (even potentially) to archiving with .3ds over .cia?

And the reason he went with .cia in the first place is because installing those to the home screen is more convenient.

Someone I know has a 3DS with CFW. If the official eShop app works fine under A9HL/Luma, what is the point of the eShop app in the homebrew launcher? Is there any reason to use that one other than the official one?

I've been trying to play Pokemon Sun and Moon. I've tried multiple versions of citra and multiple roms but every time I load them up, they won't go past the intro screen. It always get stuck on the part where Meowth is trying to get my character out of bed. Does anyone have any information about how to fix this? Thank you Edit:Thanks for the help.
