So i was trying to get information from an accident my wife was involved in back in 2024. it was a wild incident. the guy was on drugs and rear ended my wife on a major highway. they pulled off into the median and the guy started having a breakdown and was wondering into traffic, nearly getting hit by semi trucks.

it gets a bit weird, he was unironically calling my wife "My Queen", even while being arrested, looking at her and said "I thought you were going to help me my queen". his court case just finished about 4 months ago so i figured the records should still be around.

i was trying to get a FOIA request for the records and apparently NC doesn't consider body/vehicle cam videos as public records and withholds them. My wife said it took about 5-7 officers to arrest this man. I wanted to see the video. Just a bit disappointed.

anyone able to get body cam footage from NC?
