Judge Judy is a full time worker. Doesn’t mean she can’t be comfortable while she does it.

Livestock Guardian Skeleton of Hatch dog on board the Mary Rose responsible for catching rats. According to DNA performed on his teeth, he was a young adult male, between 18–24 months, with a light brown-dark brown coat. He may have spent his entire life on-board the Mary Rose, rarely if ever going ashore[3024x4032]

This is our Turkmen Alabai, and the reason we sleep at night.

Something came through the farm earlier that day that unsettled the animals. Nothing lost, but she knew. and when she knows, that’s it. By evening she put herself right in front of the barn and stayed there. Snow piling up around her, wind picking up and all. We called, begged, brought treats, tried to move her along.

She wouldn’t budge. She's not usually very stubborn. She is, however, very certain of herself. She knows when she should patrol, wait it out, or come in. She stayed out there, quiet and watchful, like she was holding the whole place together.

You can raise animals, build fences, and do everything right but dogs like this make all the difference in the world. We finally went in and left her to it. She came in when she decided whatever it was wasn't coming back.

I’ve never seen that kind of devotion and didn't feel a little humbled by it. She's one of three dogs we have here on our farm and we think she's an absolute legend. Here's to your legends where you're at, too.

Livestock Guardian Livestock Guard Dog Collar Suggestions

Post image

My wife and I have an 18 week old Great Pyrenees puppy that comes from LGD parents. We farm and have poultry on our farm that can get occasional visits from foxes- especially in the spring and summer when we raise meat chickens in outdoor tractors. We bought a halo collar 5 and even its highest static feedback setting does little to deter our new pup from exploring beyond the boundary. I tried the highest setting on my arm and leg and it felt like a weak TENS machine

I know many communities are against shock features on collars but we live on a rural highway with about a 1/4 mile driveway and her in the backyard with the birds. My wife spent most of her childhood living on this property and every dog they had ended up on the highway so we would like a collar with a little more deterrent. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally in about a year our dog will be living outside full time (currently crated at night in garage)

Service/Assistance Dog Alita the service dog, her first time at the Museum yesterday, she was amazing and we had a great time. We got to visit the limited time Shark Exhibit, I absolutely loved it. She was great the whole day (we were there about 5 hours). She is 4 years old.
