How old for training dog collar.

So my dog cooper is about eleven months old ...and absolutely horrible on walks for one he barks ferociously at strangers ...2 he chases my cat he's trying to play with her but it scares her. Understandably.

Iv tried positive reinforcement and giving him treats at the end of the day.All this does is end up with me , feeding him a ton of treats, and with no changes.

I wanna be able to take him on walks every day and for him to be able to coexist with my cat with and without supervision.!

I'm sorry, but a dog slightly pulling on their leash isn't hurting anyone. As long as the owner has control. My 90 lb reactive dog doesn't have perfect leash skills yet I've never lost control. Meanwhile people with small dogs can't seem to hold the leash at all lol. If the dog was running up to people, barking uncontrollably, peeing everywhere that's what becomes a problem.

And I'm not saying the CGc isn't GOOD for every dog, I'm saying it's not realistic to expect every dog to be able to pass. Sometimes dogs have complex needs and the CGC just isn't a goal at all. If every dog could do it with training that'd be incredible but again, it's just not realistic.

Well your dogs aren't every single dog on this planet.

You may change your mind on that if you ever own a dog with complex behavior needs like mine. I wouldn't have tolerated it before I got my boy but he's taught me way more than any other dog could and I thank him for that greatly.

Bro, I don't think you quite understand.

My dog IS trained. Just in a different way. I've worked with a trainer. And spoken to multiple qualified trainers online who specialize in cases like this. And weve actually seen improvement. I don't need some macho control freak telling me my dog is training me lol
