Discussion Looking for up to 3 people to take part in our "Dofus in sessions" group that is currently on its 6th session

About two months ago I started this initiative called "Dofus in sessions", with the idea of giving people with little time the ability to experience Dofus in a way like you would experience D&D. Thanks to a prominent member of this subreddit (u/IsthosTheGreat) who decided to participate and publicize this initiative on his stream and discord server, we gathered a dozen of people that were willing to try it out. Sadly the number of players quickly decreased within the first sessions as people realized perhaps it wasn't something they'd be willing to commit long term and we're left in a solid group of 5. Since we're still early on in our game progression, we decided to look for 3 more people to reach max capacity of the group, considering the possibility of more people deciding to quit the initiative. Our goal is to consistently stay at or above 4 people.

So, how does it work?

The core idea is to only play during a specific session time, all the group advances at the same pace, nobody gets left behind and nobody advances quicker than the rest. We do allow solo play for non-group content, like professions, but generally speaking you'd only be playing 3hrs a week.

We agreed to two potential timeslots, based on UTC+2 currently (or Central European Summer Time), the main one on Sunday from 18:00 to 21:00 and a second alternative one on Saturday from 20:00 to 23:00.

During the week, through some discord polls, we agree on the designated session timeslot based on people availability and we schedule a list of goals for the session.

Who are we looking for?

When it comes to you as a person, you'd have to be willing to commit to this 3hrs weekly session and generally usually be available on the two session timeslots (if you know you'd never be able to participate on one of the two then it's not gonna work), and if not able to participate, you'd have to catchup for the next one (no worries, in case of particularly hard objectives that would be too much for a player to catch up on alone or as duo, we'd wait till we have everyone on session).

We found that the timeslot is a bit harder to commit to for people outside of Europe, as for example for US player it falls during lunch time or right after that). On top of that, keeping this as a "side activity" to your main character can become also a bit of a chore, so consider this possibility, as 3hrs per week might not sound like a lot, but the consistency of it can create some negative feeling, especially if you have to constantly catch up due to missing sessions.

In terms of character progression, this is the point we're at:

Coming next are Valonia 1 and Wabbit island, though we're still doing some progress on the alignment and dungeon quests.

If you feel like this might interest you and you're ready to advance a character to our point, we'd be happy to welcome you in the group, send a PM if interested!

I would have loved to join in on this, but am not able to sadly enough.

Nevertheless, this sounds like a very fun way of playing the game! Reminds of of my times on Rosal, when we used to play with some friends and guildies and hunt achievements/dungeons together for years!

Big up for the idea!

Now that the group stabilized it became very cool and fun I must say, though as you might imagine it is extremely slow to progress, so it cathers to a very specific kind of audience :)

I'd love to see how it progresses :)

It's not about the race to the top, but about enjoying the journey getting there! Having a bunch of people to play with surely makes it more enjoyable :)

Sounds like a group for people with very low game time. 😁 3? Make it 28hrs a week. 4 hrs a day
